So we got rid of an above average center making $14M only to replace him with Howard/Noah who are older & will command more money. Also we have to spend money to replace Grant/Wroten.

Awesome.

If anything I'm more upset about waving Wroten. He stalked us for months then finally got signed and now he's gone before he even had a chance.

Nick, agreed

After seeing Lopez played, I realized that I do not want Knicks to pay his $12 mill a year :x

Buyer Beware: Knicks should not overspend on a high profile center in FA. Noah is the highest C I would bid on. Other than that it is not worth spending on a player who is glued to the bench against small ball lineups. Think about how useful defensive centers Bogut and Ezeli were in the playoffs

Anyway we can lure them Phoenix trainers away from the Suns ?

Ctfu, I was thinking about the same thing

Did this guy Jonathon Tapaz really label Lopez and Calderon a good rotation player on good contracts? :x

Prime example of the Knicks taking a fat chick to the van. Its a good thing we didn't draft Curry, he woulda been gone in his 2nd season. Can't be mad about Grant since I dont really know what he can do since he was benched for friggin Calderone. Rolo is not irreplaceable, not sure contract wise what it will cost. Rentals are expensive these days tho.. Without an actual center, KOQ wont cut it, we may be watching the playoffs again.

I think we're going after Whiteside here. But he'd be awful for KP.

I also don't think Whiteside can stand a white guy from Europe taking away his wiminz

How the Hell is Rose going to chill in the locker room though?

We got this 7'2" white guy who watches World Star on a regular basis, a Chubby SF who likes to shoot and hates snitches, and maybe this 7 foot primadonna who used to ball in his local YMCA not too long ago and thirsting for his champagne campaign.

Pretty sure he was talking about Jerian Grant being the other player since Calderon is a throw in to match salary.

RoLo on his current deal (ESPECIALLY going into this offseason w/ cap jump) = good rotation player on a good contract. It's not even a debate.

The thing everyone is forgetting is if we are going to play at a faster pace and go small ball Rolo is not the one. He's just a clog in the middle.

Hassan is not coming. The Heat are winning now. The Knicks may win soon. Get a legit SG (Courtney Lee/Allan Crabbe) and shore up the bench and we could be alright.

Agreed

RoLo wasn't going to be our Center moving forward.

The teams needs athletic guys who are able to run the floor. I'd prefer if we can shoot and defend too

Can someone post the vid?

Notice the tentativeness in the beginning of the highlights, which I believe was from the early season.

You can see how much more explosive he becam as he progressed through the season. Definitely got more comfortable with himself towards the end of the season. I remember he and Westbrook had a great duel just this past season.

I'm hoping he can stay healthy and kind of optimistic about it since he shouldn't feel the need to overexert himself with Melo and Porzingis as the #1 and #2 options.

Hype to see what the next move will be.
