@uuords: Last year the Knicks allowed opponents 2.5 corner 3’s made per game on 43.2% shooting. So far this year: 1.1 on 26.5% shooting.

didn't realize we've only allowed 100+ pts in 3 games this season (Atlanta, Washington, Toronto)...once the offense catches up to the defense we'll start winning consistently

@darrenrovell: NBA says Porzingis jerseys have sold out, new stock will be in tomorrow.

everyone's all in on KP  :smokin

I know this is small sample size, and probably skews towards efficient bench players, but was randomly browsing NBA league leader stats and saw this

15. Dirk Nowitzki [emoji]9642[/emoji] DAL 1.1

I have to admit i didnt like the way Galloway seemed to always be playing beyond his means trying to do so much, but maybe he just did it bc he was a new guy trying to fill a stat sheet and prove he deserves a contract coming from the NBDL. He's played a lot more in efficiently and in control this year and really earned a spot in the league. Our best lineup is clearly with him in the backcourt, and caldo on the bench.

If Porzingis went to Kentucky, a majority of the hate around draft time would have disappeared. People just fear foreign players.. add to the fact that he's 7'3" and likes to shoot 3s and people panicked. Except he clearly wanted to be in the NBA, that was never in doubt but people just saw he was from Latvia and wrote him off.

He's still got a long way to go, but people (scouts included) VASTLY overestimated how much time he would need and how much of a project he was. And even with him being a project, his talent, size, and our draft position made taking that chance an easier decision. Besides.. none of these rookies are making a team a playoff contender on their own. 7'3" kids with defensive potential, 3 point shots, and his kind of motor/attitude don't grow on trees.. he was worth the risk at draft time and I'm glad a majority of people are coming around to him.

I think the biggest thing they overlooked was the kids heart and determination to be good. I didn't like the pick initially because I thought we needed a point guard and Mudiay was still on the table, but I was impressed with how he handled himself during draft night when he was getting booed by the crowd. Most people fold under the pressure of playing in NY, but he was relished it. I just hope he focuses on basketball, because this city has a way of getting the best of people. Drugs, women and other distractions are very real.

Hope he can stay away from the Eastern European women here. They're dangerous

also look at this ******* clown:

@stephenasmith: I got to admit I'm STUNNED. https://t.co/Nl7lTIagiU

"i'm actually gonna start going to Knicks games now" get the **** outta here you herb.

I had the rant last week about SAS and xenophobia, as we all know, that was warranted. But I'm not going to hate on him or anyone else for coming around or turning the corner...

95% of Knick fans were skeptical and hated the pick, just like SAS was - If you hate SAS for pulling a 180, you gotta hate everyone else. So that's not fair.

But you can defffff hate SAS for being the xenophobic prick he's been since we drafted him, and the MF'er should apologize for pronouncing KP's name the way he did (not sure if he changed that).

So far, for ROY (crazy early, I know)...would ya'll optimistically agree...

1) Towns
2) Porzingis
3) Okafor
4) Muddi

Once Porzingis is allowed to have a bigger role, take more shots, play more min's I can def see him taking the number 1 spot. Porzingis has shown us so much, but to be honest - his shot hasn't fallen in like its suppose to. He will start drilling more jumpers, I got no doubts. It's too beautiful a stroke.

Nice, I have no clue about Latvia's birthday yesterday. Looks like we will learn more about Latvia from KP.

if the knicks make the playoffs and KP averages around 18ppg and 8/9rpg, he'll win roy.

ZDG (Zingis Da Great ) ) will get me to consider buying his jersey next season if he continues to play the way he has for the rest of the season and playoffs :D

This is a great summary of what a lot of us have been thinking:

Fisher needs to decide what players he wants to use late in games. Obviously, Anthony needs to be on the floor, and so does Porzingis. Galloway’s shooting and defense on quicker guards makes him an obvious addition as well. The other two players can rotate between Calderon, Afflalo, Lopez and even Grant depending on matchups. There’s no reason for Amundson, Seraphin, or Thomas to be playing over any of the players above. They just aren’t as good. Twice in recent games Fisher has given Thomas the responsibility of inbounding in key end-of-game situations, and twice he has thrown bad passes.

i feel like i've said this at least 13 times this season. his rotations are awful.

find 9-10 guys to play on a consistent basis & don't worry if someone gets upset that they don't play.
Carmelo Anthony leads the Knicks in total assists and assists per game.

He is holding opponents to 30.3% shooting from the field, including 21.7% from 3 and 38.1% at the rim
i love everything about this post.

he's really worked hard on not just being a one dimensional player.

Also his FG% is probably lower because he's always getting hacked and gets zero calls on the offensive end and is exhausting way more energy than he's ever had on the defensive end.
