put it this way Zinger probably will never be the force KAT is defensively and KAT probably will never be the perimeter threat Zinger could be

Son I wouldn't say that. When KP is in the game the knicks are FOURTH in the NBA in defense. When he's not their 23rd, he won the game for us last night on the offensive and defensive end. I'm not saying KAT isn't a great defender but the gap between him and KP will never be big

interesting. didn't know that.

^^Completely agree. I'll bet the farm that KP ends up the better player when it's all said and done. Love KAT and he is definitely a beast, but his ceiling is nowhere near as high

Let's hope the East stays competitive, record-wise, with 2.5 games currently separating 1st & 8th. Of course, as a fan of this sorry franchise, the NBA as a whole is much new intriguing when NY is somewhat relevant.

Porzingis is rebounding better than i thought he would already. Rebounding was one of his weaknesses I noticed during summer league, but thats no longer an issue

I'd be shocked if KP reaches his full potential, i really hope he does though because we'd have a top 5 player in the league.

This is what I expected from KP his 2-3rd year. The fact that he's way ahead of the curve is crazy.

Its actually fun to actually watch knick games now because of his development and the fact that we're playing real well as a team.

To think about it, Rubio added to this team would have this team super competitive, but how realistic were those rumors of him and who would be likely to get shipped? Im also not sure if Phil would make a move for him now.

what?

Towns might only be shooting 16% from 3 this season.. but you should expect that number to improve... he's only taken 6 3's.

He can shoot the ball. He's shooting 91% from the free throw line

I don't see him as a throwback big man, he's the prototypical NBA big man for the modern era. I think we're all underestimating his outside shooting potential.

So you have a prospect who can be an elite rim protector, great size and athleticism, who can put it on the floor, work out of the post, and stretch the floor and hit 3's. Basically, there isn't anything he can't do on the basketball court.

I know you might say that sounds a lot like Porzingis too.. which I wouldn't argue, but I think KAT is just the better prospect at the moment. I'd put Porzingis #2 though.

Towns' defensive ceiling is higher.. he can be an elite/best in the NBA rim protector... while Porzingis can be a very good/great, versatile defender, but the edge goes to KAT.

Porzingis has been showing more offensive versatility right now with the 3 ball, putbacks, working out of post, etc. But once Towns starts getting his 3 ball going, I think people will remember why he was clearly the #1 pick.

Basically, I don't think there's any Minny fans who would want to swap picks. And while we all love Porzingis' potential, attitude, and passion, we'd be even more in love with Towns

All that matters is we had the 4th pick and might end up with the 2nd best player out of the draft.
