we've been sinking for too long bro. we need to grab a log, floaty, leaves...anything to stay above water and maybe build a boat.

I think Blatt got a raw deal in Cleveland.. that much seems obvious.

However, I wasn't blown away with his offensive schemes and coaching. Now, how much of what we saw was his true vision for the team vs what Lebron and others fought against, I don't know.

I'm interested in him simply because I have no faith in Rambis, but that's not a high standard that's been set.

If Melo wants to leave, I'll package him for Kyrie and Mozgov. And sign Batum. Of course KD would make a difference but who knows the chances.

Lopez - Porzingis - Batum - SG - Kyrie

Sign a reliable SG and win a chip

Man. We're in here discussing David Blatt or Kurt Rambis.

Bruh...David Blatt. Kurt Rambis.

When will the misery end?

:smh:

Put me on team #NEVERRAMBIS though, so I guess it's Blatt by default. Even though he has like a 2% chance of success here. I'm sure LBJ, JR, and Shump will put in a good word for him to Melo and Melo would respect Blatt as a leader...

Sigh.

I dont mind Mark Jackson on the sidelines. Give him a system to run plus w.e he brings from his experience as the GS coach, would be intriguing.

Short read from Chris Herring on why Blatt might actually get the job:

Working backward, there is reason to believe that Jackson would give serious consideration to Blatt for the job, despite the fact that Blatt isn’t a triangle loyalist.

Jackson was said to respect Blatt’s offensive mind even before Blatt returned to the U.S. from Israel to take what would later become the high-profile job of coaching LeBron James in Cleveland. In fact, when Jackson served as a consultant for the Detroit Pistons in 2013, he put Blatt’s name on a short list of candidates the team should consider hiring as an offensive coordinator, according to a league source.

Jackson was a consultant for the 2013 pistons? No wonder, that team had Calderon too :x :smh:

I liked Luke Walton. He would've incorporated a Triangle with motion offense.

But he's always been a West Coast type of guy. He'll end up taking the Lakers job and Phil will subsequently join him out there in a year or two

Most likely scenario imo...

Carmelo Anthony was asked on The Dan Patrick Show today if he wants to retire as a Knick. He said, "That's my goal."

Melo on Dan Patrick Show reiterated he hopes to be involved in who Knicks next coach is. But Phil hasn't spoken about it with him.

phil also said that some of the team's best games were without melo. dude is a ******* *******. phil can go **** himself. hes just making the situation worse every time he opens his mouth.
