and i don't think Sasha or Lance do a bad job. They're backups who play like competent NBA backups and actually hustle, try to play defense (I think you can make the argument even that Thomas is a + defender) and move the ball well. At least they bring something to the table and can be relied on.

Calderon brings nothing.

Frustrating loss.

Calderon has got to go. He shouldn't be playing more than 10 minutes.

Lopez has to step it up offensively. He's missing gimmes at point blank range.

This idiot really had lance thomas, caldo, and cleanthony ******* early in the game during the 4th quarter :smh:

This L is all on fisher.

Totally.

Bizarre lineup rotations.

The game was still in reach and you got garbage players out there.

also not enough Prozigis, unless KP isn't healthy he should be 30+ minutes a night.

im going to give melo a break... he hasnt played ball in like 6 months so hes not going to be old melo asap...but he does need to find other ways to contribute if shots are not falling
Not coming at you but he did have like 11 rebounds and I think 4 assists and played pretty good D on Bron for most of the night. Sure there were some lapses here or there but I can by far say this is the hardest he's been playing on D his entire career.

Which leads me to my next point. I think the only thing wrong with Melo is that he isn't making his shots and then forcing up these dumb *** shots and ******* up the rhythm of the offense. But I can't help but wonder if his shots aren't falling because he is finally putting in consistent effort on D and he's tiring out. I can vividly remember the camera panning in on him towards the end of the 4th immediately after a defensive possession and he is completely out of breath. Now I don't mean to exaggerate but I can't recall Melo EVER being out of breath on the defensive side of the ball because he never gave a ****. So maybe he just needs to get in better shape so he can affect both sides of the ball.

Also, I can't remember who but after the Wizards game someone pointed out how Calderon often times looks Melo off and will initiate the offence in the opposite direction. I hadn't noticed it until whoever it was pointed that out but after watching the game against the Spurs and this one I started seeing that trend a lot. And often times what would happen was Melo would go the whole possession without touching the ball, regardless of if he was open or not, then would take the ball the next possession and jack up a stupid *** shot and **** up the rhythm. I just feel that we need a better floor general who will better orchestrate the offense and stop consistently looking off our top offensive option so he does feel the need to "get his shots" on his on. Fisher's dumb *** needs to be preaching to the guys the importance of playing within the offense because there hasn't been a lot of that lately.

Lastly two things we need to do for immediate improvement is 1) bench Calderon's bum ***. I mean I really rather just cut him at this point. Dude has to have the worst +/- in all the league. Just turrible. And 2) stop letting Melo bring the ******* ball up the court to start the offense. This has caused the complete annihilation of our fast paced offense and fast break points which was the reason we were ******* winning games in the first place!! Give the ******* ball to Grant or Gallo and let them push the pace Jesus!

Sorry for the rant. Just pissed we gave this game away

Edit: to the post above, I will say that KP's minutes aren't on Fisher entirely. Every game this season so far Fish has had to sit KP for foul trouble. Really would like to see him stay out of foul trouble so he could maybe get some time with the 2nd unit and be the featured option for a bit. Kid def has the ability to average 15 & 8 this season if he can just stay on the floor.

Fisher has no coaching experience and it showed tonight. Seasons early so it's not time to panic yet. Phill's at home lighting a bowl thinking, "yeah I'm gonna have to coach again"....

Its pretty clear that we play better with KP and Gallo on the court. KP has been getting into foul trouble some games, but those 2 should definitely be getting more than 25 min a night.

most of KP's fouls have been because of Calderon's inability to stay in front of his guy.

he's had a couple dumb loose ball fouls but those are easy fixes with experience

I have ZERO hope in Fisher. none.

as far as Melo, yeah he was solid on Lebron tonight, but dont get it twisted he hasn't been consistent enough on D all season to excuse his pathetic offense. Its like he didnt pick up a basketball before training camp. and as far as I know he was healed well before camp.

but again, I have seen NOTHING, not ONE thing, to make me feel like Fisher can be a decent head coach in this league. and thats ******* scary.

Gallo - Afflalo - Melo - KP - Lopez
Grant - Caldo/Sasha - Dwill - Lance/Seraphin - Oquinn

That should be the 9-10 man rotation.

84 mins, Calderon/Vujacic Off Rtg: 97.3

92 mins, Grant/Galloway: 105.5

it's simple coaching.

also i know Fisher loves Lance Thomas & he's a great guy but a good portion of his mins have to be given to Derrick Williams

i can't support Fisher if he continues to play Jose Calderon 30 mins a night when there's not one but two better players on the bench

also Early & Thomas getting meaningful minutes in the 4th quarter? c'mon man

We're gonna really have to beat up on "bad teams" if we want to make the playoffs. I put it in quotes cause I'm praying we don't end up being one

I can see this team easily going a few games under or over .500 depending on whether or not we learn how to finish games.

Yup.

Starts with the Lakers this Sunday, we gotta win that one.

im not talking about just this game im talking about in general melo needs to play better if shots are not falling... a lot of his problem is shot selection... its tough to be efficient on a consistent basis if you take terrible shots... hopefully we can get 2 wins with the bucks and lakers next... and fisher really needs to cut down on jose minutes because he is a liability on the court

Ya'll really need to calm down about Melo. The man had a complete game last night and guarded the best player in the world almost half the time he was on the floor. On top of the he hadnt played an actual NBA in 8 months. Relax bros

Melo played pretty good defense last night, grabbed 12 boards, had 4 assists, 2 blocks & a steal. his shot obviously wasn't there but he did other things to help out.

bottom line is we lost 2 winnable games this week vs great teams. you might get away with playing 3.5 quarters vs the Bucks or Wizards but we have to put together complete games to take that step into playoff contention.

our November schedule is brutal. if we could be .500, or even a few games under, we'll be in decent shape

I get that we're frustrated with Caldo somehow still being on the team (I am too), Porzi's foul trouble, Fish's coaching, Melo not being 100% but we're only 5 games into the season. No need to panic....just yet guise. We have more than enough time/games to improve.
