I wont respect Fisher as a coach until I see a KP/Melo pick and roll/pop atleast 10x a game and until he starts making better substitutions (which will probably never happen).

It's really infuriating

Pringles would have him FLOURISHING offensively

@IanBegley: Here's a video of what referees looked at when they ruled Kristaps Porzingis' shot was released after the buzzer: https://t.co/k0v8amJOwQ

only 2 angles & the 2nd one is blurry :rolleyes

KP got the tools to be a top 15 all time player. The sky is the limit with him and he's such a humble guy he can't do nothing but flourish. I look forward to see how far he will go

I liked them when they were supportive of Mets in postseasons. When it comes to Knicks, the hate is swelling in Smith and Hill. :x

Yeah, but at least he can give credit where it's due. You would think he was a Knick fan lately the way he's been hyping us up. Jemel on the other hand, or however you spell her name is a hater and always will be. For me, it's nice to see a woman of color be knowledge of sports, but the blatant disrespect especially against Melo saying he's not a superstar and all this nonsense turned me all the way off a couple of years ago, and basically I change the channel when she's on.

Am I a bad Knicks fan for being pro fisher? Ive been out of the loop i didnt know the hate has gotten so bad. ****.

I'm not pro-Fisher.. but I wouldn't say I'm anti-Fisher either.

He hasn't shown me a lot that makes me think.. "Okay, this guy knows what he's doing". Brad Stevens and Kerr, for example, showed pretty quickly.. okay, they can coach in the NBA. I don't know about Fisher just yet.

I do know that there are some things that I really want to see soon, otherwise I'll start questioning his coaching. The biggest is getting Porzingis involved with things like pick and pops. It's easy to be an armchair coach, but I'm hoping we see some of these things soon.

You can add J Kidd to that list too. He hit the ground running as well
He hit the ground running, right into a brick wall

Do you not remember the Nets terrible start that year, along with firing Lawerence Frank about a month into a 6 year deal, and the spilled Coke incident? All after his summer DUI. The NY media was spreading rumors that he wouldnt make it through the season every week.

I mean I agree that I think Kidd has turned things around and showed an ability to coach in this league. It was really stupid that a team with such lifty expectations as the nets had would turn to a rookie coach who had just retired like Kidd. I think it was their inferiority complex over Kidd ending his playing career on a high note with the Knicks that made them make the move to hire him.

I said it when he was catching heat but his ability to see the writing on the wall in both Brooklyn and Milwaukee was genius on his part. Fisher was in a different position than Kidd because the Knicks last year didnt have anything close to the kind of expectations the 2014 nets had, but my point is that Kidd definitely needed time to get the hang of things. He most definitely did not "hit the ground running" in Brooklyn.
