Kerr and Walton went to coach the BETTER TEAM. Pop and the Spurs always put out a good product. Comparing them to Fisher and our roster is crazy talk. Celtics made the playoffs in Stevens second year in a weak eastern conference and a sub .500 record. Having Kerr or Walton here last year wouldn't have made a difference

You don't believe this, quit trolling.

i think yall are being a bit harsh on fish. yeah, some of his decision making is poor, but its only his second year. yeah, theres no reason to play 13 guys, but in his defense, no one on the bench has really played consistently enough to stay on the floor except for gallo. oquinn, dwill, and seraphin are hella flaky.

Fisher is a terrible coach with minimal potential.

You know in 2K when you can hire a coach, and it shows offense, defense, potential, and some other ****. He'd have poor grades for all and be one of those $100k/yr coaches that you have to hire because somehow you have 6 all-stars on your team and are capped out.

1) Never liked Derrick Fisher in any capacity. Player, coach, exec. F him.

2) Ya'll are vastly overrating Walton and Kerr and underrating how much GS has grown as a team and as players. I've watched enough Warriors games the last few years to know that they were a loaded team who was on the brink. With Curry's evolution from great player to elite superstar the team ascended.

3) With that said Kerr is still a better coach than Fisher. Nothing Derrick Fisher has done to this point makes me believe he's a competent coach.

we are being fickle... where were yall at during the 4 game win streak? prally hyped that we won and on the right track but not give fish his credit but instead hating on him when we lose... its like a double standard... not saying that fish is a good coach and obviously he needs to improve on things but give this guy a shot... thanks to him and our roster being trash we landed KP which was a blessing in disguise... we never really liked any of our coaches since JVG left... it was like this coach sucks and get him out of here... same ol story... but to be honest the franchise aka dolan doesnt know how to run it which is the big problem really... and the players should be held accountable too...

I can assure you that many ppl were not crediting fish for those wins. Lol

Couldn't agree more with this whole statement.

Oh geez, I haven't heard that name Eddie Griffin for a long time. He was a beast at Seton Hall. Sadly, he never lived up to his hype. If only he had excellent work ethic. RIP Griffin

Like Porzingis, Raef LaFrentz bounced between power forward and center. LaFrentz’s offensive rebounding usually stuck a little below where Porzingis is now but he had a few seasons above 9 percent (which is very good) and the three point attempts align pretty well throughout his career. Other than a spike in playmaking in Boston, Raef had a similar offensive niche and blocked shots pretty well at both big man spots. At this point, young Raef LaFrentz probably serves as the best comp for Porzingis though it is worth noting that KP’s rookie year is coming about two years younger than LaFrentz’s.

The other comparable player is even more interesting. Eddie Griffin (RIP) began his career at power forward next to Yao Ming on the Rockets but also played with Kevin Garnett and the Timberwolves right after their Western Conference Finals appearance. Griffin was another PF/C hybrid that grabbed a lot of offensive rebounds and took threes at an eerily similar rate to Porzingis. His age-20 season, Griffin took 28.3 percent of his shots from three and made 33.3 percent of them while Porzingis is at 25.1 percent of attempts and a 34 percent success rate right now. Griffin also blocked shots similarly and only assisted on more than 6.5 percent of his team’s plays once in five seasons. Sadly, Griffin’s career and life were cut short by off the court issues.

Would love to have Thibbs as our coach
Yall would get so tired of Thibbs so quickly I almost want to see this happen. Too much grass is greener mentality with some of these coaches being mentioned.

Melo would be run down and officially done and KP would be on his 5th injury due to too many minutes. Looking at our current roster, we might get one great season with that dude's coaching style.

Good thing Phil is anti-coach with no offensive mind and especially against dudes that aint down with the triangle. I know yall don't want Phil making Thibbs learn the triangle on the job as he coaches the team

There's a reason Phil wanted both of those guys first and had to settle on Fish.
Phil wanted Luke Walton as his 2nd choice? Over Fish?

 News to me.

Knicks fans will always have something to complain about unless everything is going 100% right. It's in ingrained in their nature. It only gets worse as things go on.

Dudes were ghost with complaints for Woodson during that winning season.

It's almost odd how under several GMs and presidents of OP that all of the coaches we've had suck at these things calling plays (especially out of timeouts), rotations, direction and motivation in huddles, etc.
