Hulk Hogan Tearfully Begs For Forgiveness After N-word Rant That Cost Him His Career: ‘There's Not A

Good answer

Being sincere with actions not just words would help rehabilitate Hulk Hogans image.

And I don't think White athletes should get a different standard. I think the coverage Vick got was stupid, there's still people protesting Vick when the Steelers starting quarterback has been accused of rape multiple times.

I don't see you in the Sports forum but I've been known to be a NT la
wyer. I'm one of those guys who believe in chances as long the crime isn't super heinous.
I remember reading a HH interview from several years ago where he was asked who he'd like to see his daughter date. His answer? Big Ben....

If Brooke marries a Black guy and has a baby would it help redeem Hulk Hogan in the eyes of the public?

You should know I'm not gonna engage you any further with this tired shtick fam, if you want to pretend you don't get it carry on.

You don't have the answers Sway.

Just keep it real.

And no I'm not pretending, I legit DONOT understand the logic of a word being so offensive to certain race, yet at the same time enforced so strongly in their music, then be upset when fans of a different race repeat it while singing along to the lyrics.

If you as a black man can shed some light on that for me and help me understand, I would legit appreciate it.

You don't let other men call your wife pet names do you? If a dude at your wifes' job called her wifey would you be cool with it?

I mean its a word.

I would assume Steezy's Wife isn't advertising her pet name in public. Use a different scenario.

So a man and wife don't call each other pet names in public?

I'm sure they do...

But let's say a Wife calls her man "Hubby"... I doubt that Wife calls every man she meets "Hubby"

Get it or naww? If not, it's cool bro.

But black folks that use the N word don't call every black person they know or meet "*****" so that example holds up.

A lot of rappers have come out and said they don't care if their white fans say it while singing along. Cool whatever.

That's not the same as calling someone a n___er in anger. that is not ok.

If you aren't black just do yourself a favor and stay away from the damn word. What's so hard to get? Don't try to make sense of it. Just know it isn't your damn word to be throwing around.

I don't get why people are comparing the ER word with the word with the A. They're totally different. Hogan tried to make a pathetic excuse. It's sad. Either way, I don't think it's a word that should be frequently used even with the word with the A at the end; whatever race you are. Often times the word with the A sounds like the word with the ER in general. It's more sad that my Chinese friends actually say the word and call me it via text.

Same tree but different branch as far as ER vs. GGA.

lets not forget where it came from.

Exactly. "But I'm ___" "but I only say it with _____" "but I only use it with my friends..."

Pathetic honestly. Searching for validation to make it "more ok".

The double standard in sports exists. When dudes in the NHL brawl on the ice, it's boys being boys. You even have the refs standing back and watching. But when players in the NBA brawl they get labeled thugs and pavement apes from the projects :smh:

Personally I never saw it like that.

NHL fights are allowed and thats why they're not overly criticized

Fights in MLB/NBA/NFL/MLS aren't allowed so therefore the people who break that rule and decide to fight get a bad label.

Some are deserved and some aren't.

I do see your point tho

^ Fighting is hard on ice with all that equipment. It's not even fighting at all sometimes. And not a lot of people even watch NHL compared to the NBA/NFL/MLB, etc, so NHL has to draw viewers somehow. So there's less criticisms on the fighting aspect of NHL.

Kobe got into a fist fight with some dude from the Knicks, and got caught in a rape allegations, but most people still see pass that and still claim he's an all time great, only people who dislike him are Laker haters, Lebron fans, Jordan fans. And that guy he fist fought from the KNicks who managed to get 2 landed punches? Nobody even remembers that dude. So I don't know if NBA plays who get labeled as thugs etc is completely true.
