Lexus is the best car brand, period.

Got an $11K settlement check from insurance for the car. :pimp:

Damn 11K?! How much was the car worth. you came up
I checked kbb (the car basically had all the available options, and selected excellent condition, though it was really just good condition due to normal wear and tear on the seats/interior,) and it checked out at like $6300.

I also saw some listings on cargurus/craigslist/etc for some other similar 150k miles is300s (some were older, mine was 2004) and most were listed around $7-8k as good/fair deals which didn't make sense to me. Those older is300s looked whooped inside and out, had that funny half leather/half fabric seats (mine was all leather), didn't have HID/fog lights, didn't have navi like mine, etc.. Whatever, usually insurance pays a lot more than market value for totalled cars I hear from people I know that have gone through the same claims process.

I may just go carless for a while as I don't really need a car in San Francisco. Or I might get a new GS. :nerd:

To be honest i crashed my is300 into a wall in november 2015 so I'm out a car as well. Gonna just use public transportation for a while. Only had liability on mine so definitely not seeing a check

My wife is trying to convince me not to get an RC. As much as I would like to have one, it wouldn't practical if we're planning on having kids soon. I'm trying to convince her to switch: I drive the IS when I have the kids and she gets the RC and vice versa but she's not really feeling that idea.....

The CTs are starting to grow on me..... :nerd:

Folks exaggerate about coupes with full back seats being an issue, especially with small children.

Damn man sorry to hear that. Lesson learned never go cheap on that insurance.

Yall would cop the LC/LFA over an i8 though?

obviously the LFA its like twice its value of an i8

You know what's funny? I can fit larger things in my RC than my girl's GS. The GS F Sport rear seats don't fold down but the RC's does. So when we get big box furniture, gotta fold down the back seats and use the RC.

Just get an avalon and keep the change. FWD and luxury should not be in the same sentence
i care nothing about what the drive is. absolutely nothing. i dont understand why thats a deal maker/breaker whether something is AWD/FWD/RWD. unless u racing or off-roading, why do u care what drive ur daily driver is?

Are you kidding? What about people who live in places with snow?

I think anything can be halfway decent with dedicated winter tires. But ideally, AWD with winter tires would be the best move. But I see what both of you are saying.
