It's ****** my family
mad.gif

Quick background.

Brother has 2 kids.

BM is a lazy fat piece of **** living off the system and hasn't worked in YEARS!

I know the usual suspects will say "don't have kids if you cant afford em, it's his fault", "get his money up", " know who your sleeping with" etc. you know.

My family practically raised them, not her our her family.

She put him on CS.

Although he's been paying what he could when he could, even giving giving her cash from time to time and buying clothes for school.

He just called and asked me to take him to work later because his license is suspended for back pay

.

He can't rely on me because of my schedule.

He might lose his job.

How does that help anyone!?!?!?

**** is too genius.

They really despise the black man.

Don't forget subtly encouraging both parties to work less or not at all in some cases.

Indeed. Think about this, how many times have you ever heard someone, other than a Black male or female use the term "Baby Mama/Baby Daddy"? Not likely done, by many other cultures. It's self-ridicule, and most don't even realize it.

Man, I've heard ****** complaining about they BM's and what not but this is getting too close to home.

Now I gotta kiss my BM *** in hopes of not being caught up?

I'm really in some deep thought about this ****.

White dudes might not use the term baby mom, but I hear them complain about child support all the time. I would say the system is unfair to all men when it comes to child support and alimony.

Start setting yourself up. Deposit the money in her bank account or some other method when you can have a receipt, that way if she decides to get spiteful, you'll have proof that you've been handling your business.

This is not a black issue man,

Everyone get's bent over by child support, it's another ridiculous government system.

Your brother isn't that bright either, he shouldn't be giving her any type of cash payments. He should write a check and keep all of his receipts for anything and everything. Even if he is buying food from the $1 menu, save everything. Never give cash to the BM or to the kids, I'm talking about big amounts. When the kids get older and you want to give them funds, get them prepaid debit cards, again, deposits are noted.

I know too many people, this is what they do, this is the advice they give. They're constantly in court, because BM's like the one your brother has will always ask for more... they will ALWAYS ask for more. Tell your brother to pepper his angus and start being smart about how he distributes his money.

If he goes to court and she says he never gives her money, and all he says is "I give her cash", if he doesn't have proof, he's toast. They'll raise his monthly.

Tough situation, and sadly this sounds like the start to a downward spiral. How's the public transportation in your city? Any chance he can hire a PI and investigate her? Maybe get custody if she's no good?

I don't see that black connection here, but the courts are very unfair when it comes to men and CS/alimony.

Doubt he could get a PI if he cant keep up with his car note. Unfortunately I am not really familiar with CS and how it works but from what I have read/ see from some of my homies its hurts the family more so than helps :smh:

Me and a friend talk about this every day..I know a lot dudes who can't get ahead because of it..I feel like it definitely target black men..

I know a dude who I worked with..who was cheated on..left the relationship and was hit with child support..still remember his first check he got at the job was like a 100 dollars..this is after he put in all this overtime for a 2 week check..dude was legit about to Cry...system extremely cater to women..

Another dude told me they took his driver license in jersey..He was like how I'm going to find a job with no license...

Great thread. I'm currently on CS right now with my first child. I put myself on because my ex wanted me to pay her cash every month. She was young and conniving so I knew she'd up the ante every month. Plus she threatened to put me on CS out of nowhere once.
She's a waitress so the court swung in her favor big time.
If anyone is about to go to court, please get a lawyer to represent YOU. The state will represent the woman and they will treat you like you're on the stand for murder. They'll talk about how you have a good job and blah blah blah, then they hit you with that number.

The state attorney motioned for the court to put my ex's income below minimum wage since she's a waitress. At the time I was making $12.74 at geico.

You mean to tell me that this girl makes below $2 an hour at a restaurant with no tips? She told me every week that she made more than me. I was floored. Even my ex saw what was happening and just sat there thinking she won. This is one reason why I really hate the view of tipping. If you do it to help out the server on their living conditions, why aren't those tips considered in a court of law? I don't care about the tips not being accounted for or taxed. It's just another way how a loophole gets closed and fathers are left outside of it.

I get my jobs to take out the money in my checks. The only time I never made a full payment was when I quit geico and I needed another job. I paid one month halfway. It's always better to make a payment then to not make one. Once you're behind a whole month worth of CS, you are technically in contempt of court. Ish is stupid I know.
The good fathers will always get popped on due to the dead beat fathers who are in endless amounts of debt with CS. Even celebrities like trick daddy make us look bad.

It's all good though. I'm about to have another child with my new girlfriend. I'll put in a modification to lower my CS for the first one.
plus my ex will eventually graduate college and land herself a big girl job.

Your saying all the right things.

It's not as easy as just typing it so keep the insults your way.

And you don't see it as a race thing huh?

Because it happens to other racial groups too?

Collateral damage.

PT is ok, like I said it CAN be done, but it is a lot, I mean a lot of extra work and BS that he shouldn't have to go through.

Ima talk to him about the PI angle.

Don't care to make it about race..I'm speaking from experience and what I see...It could just be my ignorance on the matter..but I just don't see other men complain about it as much as black men..even with famous people I hear it complain about way more by black people.

There's too many baby mothers and not enough wives
Too many baby fathers and not enough husbands

OP have your brother take the girl to court. Show the judge the receipts

If it comes down to it, find a way to prove that she isn't capable of mothering a child. Label her an alcoholic

I get how it can be targeted towards black men, like the planned parenthood argument but lets be honest here. African american dudes are slaying more alley cat than a lot of other races at least in my experience. Dudes in middle school were having sex in the bathrooms. I was clowned for losing my virginity at 16 (which i regret). A lot of African american dudes i grew up with have children. A lot of white girls I grew up with had abortions or were on BC extremely early.

I might just do that.

But was are you paying more then what you were giving her?

My issue is, I pay for half of daycare, we both buy her clothes, and if BM ask for a extra $20 here and there I give it to her.

All in all it's about 300 a month.

I don't wanna go in there and be slapped with a $500 a moth settlement.

pardon my ignorance on custody/CS matters, but custody is overwhelmingly granted to the mother regardless of her economic status, correct?

Since my previous post got ignored, I'll say it again. KEEP EVERYTHING DOCUMENTED, and if it does hit the fan, put yourself on CS so it'll look more favorable on you.

Correct.

If you have a baby with a women and your not married she has custody as soon as the child is born.

A father has to fight, or the mother has to give up her rights.
