NT Fathers Unite: Tips and Cheat Codes for 1st-Time Dads

That's too bad. It's a pretty intimate moment and one I'll never get to forget. I was a complete mess when he was on the table getting examined and washed after he came out.
I recorded it still. That's the thing about DSLRs, they don't have that blinkin' red light when recording. I put it in the corner of the room on my tripod and got all of it

I'm surprised they let you keep it on the tripod if they didn't allow recordings. Nice work either way.

Due date is April 8th. Man is that awkward for you, or nah? A nurse that helped out with my son was a classmate of mine in college, and I felt a little bit odd that she was there.

Nah it wasn't awkward, only cause we dated over 10 years ago and I was in the moment of witnessing the birth of my son.

I'll tell you what is awkward, this girl that I was friends with and she had a crush on me back in highschool gave me a physical. I later learned that she wasn't supposed to be the one to give do the physical. She was just a medical assistant. I figured It out when I had to take another physical when she left the room with an actual Doctor, Smh. I could've told the doctor that I just took one, then police probably would've gotten involved. I felt wrong after the doctor left the room, cause I didn't want to snitch but at the same time I felt taken advantage of. Water under the bridge though. Oh yeah, I wouldn't smash.

And I had a GoPro mounted in the delivery room when my son was born. Lol. They don't like you to take video.

Baby momma not giving me a penny of that tax return.

 lesson learned.

Wow. Me n wife was just talking bout that.
Some ppl do it for nutritional value. Aint no damn nutrition that valuable to be eatin that nasty ****

Did any of you guys shead a tear in the delivery room when your little one arrived?

Who did you guys choose to be in the the delivery room during the big event?

You got one on the way? Ain't been in general too much lately

But I bursted into tears the second her head popped out and her eyes opened. Funny thing is that it was outta nowhere. I was just trying to keep her mom calm and encourage her. My daughter head popped out and tears started flowing.

An instant unexplainable love ..beautiful moment as a man/dad tbh

Meanwhile, ppl eating booty all day. I think if they freeze it, I would get my fear factor on and blend it up with some bananas. shrug*

That whole placenta thing isn't for me. But to the Vietnamese community I guess.

My coworker and his wife ate it, but they don't want to feed their kid gerber baby food. Lol

This!

Your spouse is MORE important than your kids. Not saying your kids dont matter (or to neglect them), but a healthy happy
relationship with your spouse better for your kids than making them your focus.
The happiness trickles down, doesn't work the other way.
Shes the one who you picked, who had to meet some of your preexisting standards and vice versa. The kids just show up after the fact.

KEEP THIS IN THE FOREFRONT AND YOU WILL NEVER LOSE YOUR SANITY!!

When the children leave the nest and go on to do things great in life, it will be just you and the wife as empty nesters. Very important to keep the romance going and be a team with a united front while parenting.

Signed a Father of a 3 Year Old Son

P.S. After they are about 18 months, it's kinda silly to say what their age is in terms of months. I only used it in terms of buying CJ's clothes or when I was charting his development.

that what scares me about my lady, she seen her moms do the samething. She put her husband and her life on hold for her kids. I remind my lady all the time. Me and her come before this kid.

i teared up the first time i heard his heartbeat.
i teared up when i found out he was a boy.
i teared up when he smiled during the 3d ultrasound.
when he was born, it took a little while for him to start breathing and when he did i caught some tears.

i deal with some heavy emotional situations at work and i'm pretty calloused but man....when it comes to my boy, i'm a softie.

My second child will be born in May. Pretty much 2 years after my son was born. 2 birthdays for the price of 1.

When I found out we were having a girl I was excited and when me and my girl got in the car I broke down in tears. I'm talking showers. I lost my mom to cancer 6 days after my sons birthday and when me and my girl found out we were expecting another, I prayed daily asking my mom to bless us with a girl and now it's actually happening.

I've always wanted a daughter. My little one just turned 16 months on the 27th of January. When we found out the gender I cried in the sonogram room. My wife and mother in law who was there with us, kept it together up until I started crying lol. Both my wife and I cried as soon as we heard our daughter cry.

Have two girls (2 and a half-ish, 4 weeks) and not sure I'd want a third in the future

Always wanted a boy but at the same time I don't regret having two girls at all

They're close enough in age that they could have a really strong bond and be best friends...they'll be able to talk to each other's about things that they may not be comfortable talking to adults about like boys, etc. and will be able to help each other get through tough times
