I had the og's and someone stole my pair when I was at college :smh: had to order another pair from Eastbay. But I got lots of compliments on those shoes.

They didn't come with the suitcase but they did come with two velour bags. Would be nice if JB does that again.

I'M READY!!!

Considering that these originally released for $200, if they drop for $250, it's not that bad.  i wonder if they'll release with the briefcase?
17+ was not $200. they were $175 if i remember correctly. $250 for 17+ is ridiculous.

I thought only 17 had the briefcase? I had the Carolina lows that came in the black and blue drawstring bags. I thought these were released the same way, in two bags.

I'm pretty sure they were $200. Could be wrong but I seem to remember it being that price.

The XVII+ were either $165 (most likely) or $175 originally. This has already been discussed.

The Mid's (i.e. the 3 colorways that came with the briefcase; white/college blue, white/red, and black/silver) were $200. I believe the Low's were $150.

From what I can find (as well as remember), the retail on the original XVII+ was $165. I have attached a few pictures showing price tags on the original boxes of a few pairs of XVII+ (not my pictures). Two say $165 (from Champs and Eastbay)... the other says $175 from "J-Sport." I'm going with $165, as that seems right.

It definitely wasn't $200.

I rarely post pics but forgot what these ran back in the day, so with the kids asleep and wife out (this is a special occasion where I can actually go through my stuff uninterrupted) I dug these four pairs up. Original MSRP was $220 for the highs w/briefcase. The case color matches each colorway, odd but silver case with the blue on whites. The funny thing is the Nike/JB label doesn't have the MSRP. One of the color ways, the Blue on white which was the first release has a store tag marked $220. If I recall correctly (and could be wrong) retailers had a really hard time selling these at $220 and on launch day, before or within a very short time had these at $200. One of my pairs I have the tag where I bought them for $169 marked down. The lows, I have no pricing information, but anywhere between $150-165 MSRP would be about right.

Jordan wore these when he was with the Wizards, and was a jump shooting small forward. I remember reading how these changed so much from previous models since he wasn't the same player and wanted a stiffer more rigid shoe to match his game at that time. I have pics somewhere court side of MJ playing against the Pistons that year, my girlfriend at the time bought me a pair of these just for the game in DC, I married her.

i bought the blue pair on release day back then it was $200. back then some store would list them higher than what Nike's retail value suggest.

i also had the unc lows. loved it more than the high top when it comes to playing ball in them.

Repped to @ducktales!! I love these!!! I had two pair of the OG's and I feel the 17+ is the best cut of the 17 period. The regular cut is not as sleek in design. I would love to see the OG red and blue colorway in 17+ form. I had the OG Mike Bibby low in the white/ purple colorway but sold because I didn't like the low cut. I will cop but that price is trash.
