i was a sophomore in college when these released and wasnt big into shoes then cuz baseball took so much of my time, the white based 17s seem to catch my eye much more than the black based 17s but its a pass from me unless for mad cheap or outlet prices

I feel you @PmpDaddyRobFord , the 17s arent as popuplar as the other og's and the crease up around the toe.However, its something about that college blue colorway that drives me insane! I have to get another pair of those along with the brief case because i sold mine.

I loved them, just didn't love playing in them as they hurt my feet. Want to buy the coppers as I never had them, but not at the price they are selling. Only had the highs and lows back then.

yea man that blue is nice. is the creasing pretty much like the 13s? I'll just get some sneakershields
yea but didn't they retail for 200 on the og release? I don't think it's so bad
and I always heard 17s were comfortable tho?

nah, the copper pair was $165-175. $250 would be okay if they're the regular high with the case again, but not for the coppers with regular box.
btw, did anyone actually able to put the lace cover on on the OGs? maybe it's because i have a high arch (top of the foot) i was never able to get that thing on and if i put it on first i couldn't fit into the shoe.

My boss from back then played ball in his pair and used the lace cover. It actually tore at the anchor points and he had to return them as defective

Am I the only one who preferred the CDP over the OG black leather ones? In my opinion the material on the CDP(was it nubuck?) didn't show much creasing around the toebox. Some dude I knew in HS had the OGs and they did not age well :x
By the way these were some of my favorite to play ball in. I beat the CDPs into the ground.

the CDP was terrible.
ill post pictures of my uni blue low, and og black when i pull em out of their respective boxes. i feel like they aged well, aside from the sole separation.

The Jordan XVII CDP was cool, better than the Lightings I had.

CDP XVIIs were awful I though. It was that ashy nubuck, fit more snug than the OG version and had a lot of glue stains from what I remember. OG XVIIs, I always thought had nice, premium (and comfortable) quality.

i sold mine not long ago. loved playing in them compared to the highs. the lows have much better heel lock down and for whatever reason they were wider at the midfoot which did not hurt my foot unlike the highs.
