Gang banging has no racial boundaries vol. Official SLIM JESUS THREAD

Precisely. I live my life looking out for number one. And until I get to where I need to be I can't be bothered with anything/anyone else. Think of it like seeing someone getting jumped, it's not really your business per se but you might be inclined to jump in and defend that person. That's pretty much my mindset.

From the start I was talking rap music. You're the one that made the jump and made rap music synonymous with black culture.

now rap isnt black culture from the dude throwing around the word culture vulture

Black people CLEARLY support Tyler Perry

As far as the statement about authenticity, personally, I feel like if you rap about what you live or use to live, you have to show some type of growth/remorse/consequences for that. That's the different between Young Jeezy and that Dex Osama dude who got killed. You can hear the self-awareness in Jeezy (and other artists like him) in his rhymes. Dex (and a lot of other local type dudes) is just kill kill kill and nothing more, literally trying to make that sound cool. Even Rick Ross' grand fantasy wraps shows that self-awareness.

That's why I've always appreciated dudes like Jay and TIP. You listen to Reasonable Doubt and Trap Muzik and they tell you the ups and downs of that life and at the end of both albums theres self-awareness and reflection.

UPDATE: past lives matter....

Whose to say chief keef and co ever killed black people? Maybe slim Jesus is gonna motivate other young privileged white kids to catch bodies.

This thread is all over the place.

The ICDC or w/e dude started going left...but I agree that you can't say that Drake isn't doing anything positive for black culture but then ignore that these drill murder kill rappers you idolize also don't do anything to uplift it either .

Also, on point about Ross/Gucci/Migos/etc. taking on Mexican/Italian gangsters names. You got to be consistent in your logic. If Drake a culture vulture then so are those dudes (I personally think none of these dudes are culture vultures but y'all need to be consistent in your dumb *** logic ).

^The VMAs basically made rap an SNL skit  :smh:, especially this year
