If you do open a laundromat mat, put in a claw machine in there for extra money.
I got a friend that has 3 claw machines that he got online for cheap and he put them in three different laundromat mats around here. He knows a guy that owns the mats so he let him put the machines in there for free. Other places he went to, they wanted either a 50/50 or 60/40 spit.
Anyways, once a week, he goes and collect money and refills the machine with stuff animals. All those times I went with him to collect the money, he makes anywhere from 250-350 weekly on each machine. The most I've seen him get out of one machine in a week was 568 bucks. Of course, he rigged the machine so pays out every 30 plays. He just got 2 more used machines (keymaster and big choice claw machine) and is on the verge of putting it in a local pizza joint and barbershop. He should make $ in those places too. He getting paid doing nothing
How much does it cost to refill them? And how often does he have to?
Y'all really got me thinking about looking into a Laundromat + row full of snack/drink/claw machines. Money that makes itself and is low maintenance.
Which would you say is easier and more profitable to run? Dry cleaners or Laundromat?
Not that much. He refills them once a week. Each Machine he would put like 3 or 4 new ones in there cuz that's what was won by the people playing it. Like I said he rigged the machines hard. Payout win is around 30 plays and if you don't win on that 30 play, it starts all over. You gotta play another 3o times to get that payout. Also, he compacts the plush together hard so it barely moves if you try to grab them lol. Its not loose the the Sugarloaf machines like at the ones in Walmart.
He usually get the plush stuff animals for cheap on craigslist. A lot of people on there sell them for cheap in bunches for 50cent to a dollar but he buys the new ones. Something like this http://sacramento.craigslist.org/bab/5210870050.html
Or He will throw in the plush he won from other claw machines from Walmart or Denny's.
Don't refill your machines like how Walmart does

On one 50 cent play, my buddy went behind that Peyton Manning Domo in the back and raked it down to the prized box along with the brown pillow, pink bear, cow, and white pillow. 5 wins on one try. That's why you should never stack the plush that high. Restock days at walmart are the best since you get first crack at winning stuff out of there. He also goes to dave and busters and win plush and put it in his machine. Go on Wednesdays to D&B when it is half off too play the claw machine. He also buys them from Second hand stores. Some have new cheap ones too. Some times i give him my plush that I win from those machines Also.
Throw in 1 or 2 minions and line them up against the glass or where ever you put them, make sure they are sitting down. Its impossible to win the minions like that. People love trying to win minions but minions and the Domo are easily the hardest to win and you get to rack up money.

See that minion that is wearing the leopard print, it's impossible to win like that. Only way to win minions are when there are ion their side, stomach and back.
if you wanna learn how to win plush, check youtube and watch videos for playing those claw machines:
