He lives in a studio with his 4 year old but he drives and M3 and he is trying to get females instead of a place for his child to have her own space.

NT has some of the most simple minded individuals i swear

You used the word instead. Implying that he's not even trying to do that based on what he said. You could have just gave some cleaning tips but you chose to criticize.

You're way of thinking is literally what's wrong with this world. Criticize first, help second.

I am helping him realize the bigger problem

Cleaning isn't going to fix anything he needs more space.

With all the excuses you keep coming up with people would think you're his mombs

Don't keep a lot of stuff in your home. Just what you need.

No stuff no mess.

Minimalism.

slicknick coming with a dose of truth...

OP doesn't like the taste of the medicine

Nah, dude was hella condescending. I understand where he's coming from tho.

But back on topic, Plastic Bins work. Just pick up as you go as well.

thread title....serious topic i have a studio type of thing in north miami , live with my 4 year old who can make a big mess with her toys . Help me and other NT'ers get our house squeaky clean and keep it clean for our health and increased yamb rates , thanks .
Just take her toys away from her

It doesn't but you should not be worrying about smashing if u live in a studio with your child. What are you gonna tell your kid to go in the bathroom and cover her ears

the hell are you talking about? seriously.

Tie your kid to a tree or stairwell outside of the studio.

I find that cleaning up as soon as I see a mess saves lots of time.

Agreed 100%. Especially with dishes. I always use the same plate/ spoon/ cup and clean them after every use. Plates never pile up and I never feel overwhelmed by the task. You also tend to realize that you really don't need that much stuff...I get rid/ sell stuff all the time. If I haven't used it in the last 12 months, I am getting rid of it. Clothes, mugs, electronics etc...

You are spot on about dishes. Cleaning can take up a ton of time if you let things like dishes, bathrooms or bedrooms get unnecessarily dirty.

With a kid, that daily clean-up can make it feel like the place is always dirty. I know when I visit my brother, it's like he's always cleaning up toys, food, etc. from his kids. Have her be as responsible as she can be about cleaning up herself... Have her clean up her toys when she's finished, etc. Don't let things pile or clutter up, if you see something out of place or messy, just clean it right then and there. Get bins, baskets, storage containers, etc. to have a spot to keep all your stuff if you need to.

As for actually cleaning? I give my place a once over about weekly. Take a swiffer duster to furniture, entertainment unit, etc., a spray of all-purpose cleaner and paper towels can take care of the rest. I'll wipe down my sink, toilet, shower, and bathroom, then do the kitchen with just a general kitchen cleaning spray. Vacuum up my carpet and that's really it, man.

Basically just put things back in their place and tidy up a little everyday, make it a habit to clean something as soon as the mess happens. Don't ignore kitchen messes because then it gets caked on and makes a harder mess later. Don't let things pile up, 5-10 minutes of tidying up a day in total.. dishes, putting laundry away, etc. And then probably about an hour of cleaning my place once a week and you're good. Buy some sponges, towels, cleaners from the store and that's it.
