As for their purpose who the hell knows.. probably nothing.

If trading does eventually come into play, you should only be able to trade for Pokemon you've already come across.

What would be the point of that? what's the incentive to trade? We already know that different locations get different pokemon and saturation of each area greatly varies. If someone is an area where ratattataand zubat are what they find regularly they should be limited to just trading rattatata and zubats? In every other pokemon game trading was a tool used to help complete the pokedex. Why should this be any different?

Straight up trading is not good for this game

it will make the game pay to win and it will incentivize cheaters

pokemons being traded should lose a big portion of their cps

Ash rolling in his grave man. He didnt sit at home to have something notify him where what is and for how long, he actually went around and traveled looking for them with his own eyes. Yall just need to uninstall the game asap :smh:

Ash hasnt even caught 100 pokemon in 20 years..

And hes only won one league..
Ash is bunz

Lowkey wanna join Valor now
Shawty got the bust like them anime girls mixed that low cut :smokin

Thought team Mystic was a dude at first

All hail Blanche the cold hearted leather boot mistress

trading just seems like it wouldn't work in this game. It would really take away the fun of finding the each character. Like I'm really trying to break down this trading thing and each outcome seems bad.

So do I have to go to the gyms I'm apart of to collect my rewards?

As they release more pokemon, chances are pokemon are going to become region/country specific, or more than likely team specific or maybe even both. Meaning pokemon you encounter in the wild be based on who you chose as your team and where you're located at any given point. That's just a simple way to encorporate trading into the game dynamics. For those embracing the getting up and being social aspect of the game this should be great. Trading is a feature that has always been in the Pokemon games and it did nothing but make the game experience better. I don't get how trading would be a bad thing.

If I trade because I can't find said Pokemon then how am I gonna evolve it?

Someone on a bus the other day showed me how u can see Pokemon on Google maps. Research GitHub/Python programming on Reddit and youtube

Did this dude really just show how he's "cheating" and than go ghost?

I have nothing else to add, I made my point how I think trading can potentially be a bad idea for the game depending on how they do it, which is why I posted all that in the first place. The thing I'm using is literally almost the same thing as Pokevision except someone was clever enough to incorporate notifications, so I mean, if you're using Pokevision, it's close to the same thing. Never said I wasn't cheating, it is what it is. Pokevision, etc. it's all cheating.

This stuff isn't new, people literally have been using it since beta. Continue to play how you like, and I'll play how I want to. People paying $20-30 for shirts with their team logo on them already, not goona be surprised if they want to pay $50-100 for a Dragonite, etc.

Im talking about a bunch of people asking what it is and you're not saying

hes using what i think is pushbullet to send notifications to his phone. using the same map api like pokevision does to look up pokemon. It is what it is though. :nerd:

I might try it but it does take the fun of it.

Like I explained to the people who PM'ed me, I'm not a computer programmer or coding expert by any means and I didn't set it up. Someone else set it up for me, so I don't really know much.

Python 2.7 is needed, but again, I didn't set this thing up.

The app is push bullet, but there are other ways of doing notifications from my understanding. The map API is not the same one as Pokevision, it's from a reddit user that developed it.
