I dont understand the argument you are making

My response was to trading and you saying it incentivizes cheating. my point is without any really in game competitive element, cheaters aren't getting any advantage that will affect anyother users experience but their own. And for e-props. If cheaters start being able to manipulate item quantities, or a pokemon stats, then I'd be worried about trading.

I can confirm. I live in the burbs and I've had this on my computer since its earlier releases where you had to refresh the page manually lol.

how do i go about getting the most out of evolutions? for example do i take my highest squirtle and pump dust into it until maxed, then evolve into wartortle and pump dust into the wartortle until maxed then evole into blastoise and max him too?

or do i just take my highest squirtle, evolve into wartortle, then evolve wartortle into blastoise and THEN use dust to max the blastoise?

sorry if its a dumb queston

or if you're really patient wait til you find the right one then start evolving.. I ain't evolving no eevee these days unless it's 550-600+ the rest going straight back to the dealership. Because if you're finding enough candy to evolve it you can wait til you find the 'one'

ok basically try to wait for the highest cp to pop and catch it, then evolve it until its final form then proceed to pump dust into that bad boy?

I'm pretty sure that when you max it out, it's CP level will be maintained when you evolve it. So you can pretty much go either way, it doesn't matter.

Then you can make the argument that no MMORPGs are competitive but that doesnt stop cheaters from monetizing from it.
Finding the strongest pokemon is not the only goal in the game. The guy who supposedly caught all the pokemons available is making headlines because he completed the other objective independent of CP.
Accounts have already been sold for hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Straight up trading will make it even easier to sell
So how does it not incentivize cheating?

Cheater teleports to a rare spawn and catches it. Whether or not the spawn is good cp or not, the cheater will move on to catch the next rare spawn.
Cheaters sells rare/strong pokemon to player who wants the rarestest/strongest pokemons who wishes to keep his/her account in good standing.
Cheater profits and the other player gets his pokemons.
Its simple economics

I mean i dont even care about cheating. My friend cheats and i can careless what he is doing.
I have played online rpg games with multiple cheaters and again I dont care.
You taking the risk cheating and whatever rewards/penalty you incur thats your business.
But public perception matters. If niantic doesnt enforce cheating bans or mitigate the effects of cheating, then they will lose a lot of players' respect.

Legit players and cheaters are not on equal footing and thats something you have not acknowledge.

the core 4, bulbasaur, Pikachu, charmander and squirtle, all have 16% capture rate with a 10% flee rate. So yeah, they are harder than normal to capture.

I don't even want to trade anymore.

Just get some apple watch support. Watch notifications and alerts when you get near a pokemon would be clutch.

The game is not sustainable for long in its current form.
in the beginning, players get a good flow of xp and new pokemons.
Once you reach the lower 20s, leveling, finding and catching becomes exponentially harder and the grind is simply not worth it.
