you mean your account? cause the app will always work. they wont ban u from using the app.

i dont like that there isnt split defenses in this game.
Or split attack. It's also very disappointing that it's not turn-based, and that you only get two, randomly-chosen moves per Pokemon. I guess this game is overly simplified because the target audience for mobile games is very casual. I also prefer the old system of grinding a mon up through battling wild Pokemon rather than having to catch lots of the same ones in order to evolve/level it up...

Good points but they simply cannot make this the gameboy version. Nintendo aren't going to allow them to take buyers from their games.

Overall I think they just need some tweaks here and there and they'd be very solid.

I just want them to release the damn tracker already. There's actually a couple of Charmanders sightings a day but I could never find them.

thats fair. i just think this system esentially makes a majority of the pokemon obsolete. pokemon that dont have even stat distributions get shafted and essentially just have to rely on their typing. ryhdon and golem are perfect examples of that. good hp and massive attack and defense are crapped on by their horrible special sides. hoping they atleast tweak the battle system just a little as updates come out.

come to think about it, first gen didnt have the split so maybe thats what they are mirroring.

Golem

Rhydon

The definitely need a handheld style game for mobile. I'd rather play that than this. Let me trade with other users as well. They can still try to implement region specific Pokemon based on where your external location is i.e the game map is the same for everyone, but if you're playing in NYC you'll see different Pokemon in Cerulean city than someone playing from LA.

By your example, I think it works.

Good HP and massive attack on a mon actually balances them with terrible defense, I mean if their defense are good too then they'd simply be OP.

Plus once PvP comes, Niantics probably going to do a lot of balancing and nerfing, right now there really isn't any point since gym battles could easily won via 6 on 1.

Overall I think everyone would rather play a free version of Red & Blue too.

There was a Pokemon MMO using red/blue I used to play. Eventually got annoyed by High level trainers camping out in early level places to battle.

Bulbasaur are spawning pretty much every 10 minutes in Grant Park SW of Columbus and Balbo Chicagoheads

well that works out well for pokemon that were already pretty close on both sides to begin with.what made ryhdon worth using in the past was the fact that he had a massive physical/defense stat. so you could throw him up against physical threats. but averaging it all out (if thats how its done) cuts stats in half. he goes from being able to shake off a vine whip or razor leaf which are physical grassmoves to taking all grass moves like theyre solar beam

granted ground/rock typing doubles up every single one of his weakness to being 4X effective.

To me it doesn't matter much yet because again in gym battles, you just spam quick attacks and dodge and again it's easy enough to win it by simply outnumbering your opponent.

And vice versa in terms of leaving a mon to defend the gym.

If something needs a tweak/overhaul, it's the battle system but one step at a time I guess... GIVE ME THE DAMN TRACKING SYSTEM!!

In Gen I & II I preferred Pokemon with high speed so I could move first. Since that's not even a stat in Pokemon Go, a lot of those Pokemon from my old squad (Jolteon, Starmie) look pretty mediocre this time around. (Not to mention the concept of speed is completely tied to the move itself in Go, not the species.) I also heavily used moves that created status conditions, and that's not even a thing in Pokemon Go.

I'd happily pay $20 for an app if it combined the traditional game mechanics with the new AR features of Go, all on my phone so I don't have to mess with a separate device (plus you can play more discreetly on a phone than a dedicated game device, haha).
