NFL Week 1 In Review...

Jerry Seinfeld.gif

I guess you have to expect ignorance after a bad loss, though.

Was flipping back and forth and didnt watch the whole game....but did see Sherman give up a big play a couple times. Also, he got absolutely torched on a route that would have been a 50+ yard touchdown if the throw was good.
He gave up one big play which was a perfectly thrown ball by Foles and great catch, where the WR got slammed between Sherman and Thomas and held on.  If ya'll watched the game you'll know what I am talking about.

Bro...That throw. :wow:

Apparently I get a hard on for things like that, but damn...If there is ever a description of dropping into the bucket, that throw was it. Foles channeled his inner Marino on that.

Honestly, he's quite adept at those passes. I remember seeing him throw similar passes at Arizona. It's just the moment of the game and because it was dropped between Sherman and Earl that it seems bigger than it maybe should be.

Last year, the Seahawks allowed just 39 plays of 20 yards or more, which was comfortably the lowest figure in the league. (Buffalo was second with 46, and the league average was 61.) On Sunday, the Chancellor-less defense allowed the Rams to hit eight plays of 20 yards or more, which is the most allowed by any team so far in Week 1.

Yikes.

Jets
- First win for Coach Bowles
- Brandon Marshall is an elite WR
- Love our running backs Ivory and Powell
- 2014 first rounder Pryor looked much better. On pace to 100 tackles
- Marcus Williams and Chris Owusu stepped up when we needed a lot from them
- Wishing Mauldin and Cro a speedy recovery
- Fitzpatrick did okay

NFL
- Very happy for MM8. 4 bombs
- James Jones must be happy to be back in Green Bay
- Not surprised about Rex Ryan's coaching performance. His defense is always great.
- Kelce is a heck of a player
- Pacman nearly broke Cooper's head :x :smh:
- Tony Romo = 8-0 in opener vs Giants
- What a clutch from Romo & Foles
- Ameer looks promising. Added him on my watch list.
- Rivers :pimp: Jets need to get this dude

Week 1 Piping Hot Takes...

- Brady and Gronk in midseason form already
- TEs ate well this weekend
- Colts’ shortcomings this year will be 100% on Grigson and anyone involved in personnel decisions. Luck’s margin for error is razor thin.
- Rodgers gonna Rodger and Cutler gonna Cuttles
- Tony effin’ Romo y'all
- Everyone blaming Coughlin but Eli had a mental fart there. Take the sack…don’t throw the ball away. You're a $20M/yr QB but you don't realize what the correct play is in that situation? I'm glad reporters and everyone asked Coughlin why Eli didn't take a sack or just fall down while Coughlin was trying to fall on the sword post game.
- Bolo Phil in the mothaeffin’ house!
- MM8 with a nice debut
- Rams and Seahawks was a fun one

Pats = AFC Kings

Bills, Chiefs = true contenders for AFC Crown

Cowgirls = accident waiting to happen

Skins = will play close and come up short ALL YEAR LONG

Bucs, Raiders = hottest garbage on Earth currently

Steelers, Phins = have the worst pass and run defenses respectively

yea.. sooooo ummmmmmm we all pretty much agree on grigson now, right?

and is shady is still hurt? how did he only average 2.4 vs that defense?

Grigs, Chuck, and Pep gotta go, otherwise the Colts will be locked into that 10-6/11-5 purgatory for the foreseeable future.

Folks really thought AARP Andre Johnson and Frank Gore were going to lead them to the promised land. :x :smh:

Niketalk week 1 reactions

We literally lose in st. Louis the same way every season
For as bad as the o-line looked, it was better than previous years in st. Louis
Linebackers looked like absolute trash
Earl missed alot of plays he is usually money on

Cowboys :

-randy Gregory is gonna be a real one...was abusing flowers before his injury..
-romo gonna romo..just doing what he does.

NFL:

- jj watt with another amazing individual performance...no helmet either. Sheesh!

-Alex smith looked gooood. Kielce!!

- I actually did watch the Seahawks game, and it bothers me how pass happy they are now... Toooo many times in the red zone they were content with throwing it. Even the graham TD came after like 5 straight red zone passes..missed tackles everywhere. Didn't look very Seahawks like yesterday.
-I also watched buffalo and they look even more impressive than I thought. My boy Tyrod playing like he's back at Hampton !!!

-skins game was hard to watch...

-should of gave the ball to forte in the goal line..

- I'll never get tired of seeing the versatility of clay Matthews...dude is impressive and a game changer at two comp.etely different positions, that's big..

Edit: Aaron Donald is the next big thing. Boy was dominant.

Seattle and St. Louis is always fun to watch, man :pimp:

as a neutral fan, of course

- Can't tell if the Skins defense actually played well or if Tannehill was that bad.
- Worst special teams unit in the NFL reared its ugly head again.
- Kirk Cousins is awful. Guy has no velocity on his throws and every other throw is a dead duck.
- Alfred Morris is gonna get his money this off-season.

Yeah I hope Alf gets paid ..dude always been humble and his running style is so violent

Peyton is finished. Dude always comes out the gate strong..to see him finish with under 200 yds passing is in heard of

Bills vs Patriots will be must see TV

Colts still have no defense. Seems like they were the trendy pic for the Super Bowl but not with that D

I see the same for the Texans this season ..7-8 wins while JJ has another monster year

Tannehill was ok, expecting a big game vs Jacksonville next week

that fumble
