Could Ready To Die have been sequenced better?

Clearly an undisputed classic as we all know. But it has always bothered me that "Everyday Struggle" comes after "Juicy" just because of the respective tones of the tracks. Conceptually it makes more sense for the more celebratory tracks to be towards the end of the projet right?

Y'all don't agree that's cool but don't make it seem like the **** is so farfetched, especially with the **** I see some of y'all say about Pac on here. Biggie is the most overrated rapper of all time. 2 albums don't put you in the GOAT debate. Ross has a better overall body of work and we've seen him sustain his skill for about 10 years..Its time to start being real with ourselves

Aye Ima big fan of Ross but chill.

Yeah Big only got 2 albums but both are classics. His lyrics, flows, storytelling and everything else makes him one of the best ever. He was only 24 when he died so he's not gonna have a big catalog.

how can you even use that body of work argument

pac slander comes from his fraudulent personal life and hypocritical ways

Pac was 25 when he died and had put out 4 albums by then and had hundreds of songs in the stash, what's Biggie's excuse? I'm not knocking Big skill, that's undeniable but we didn't get to see what he was capable of as he got deeper in the game. Would he have been able to sustain that skill? We don't know but what we do know is Ross has classics under his belt and is STILL making good music going on over a decade.

Why did Gayle Sayers make the hall of fame and is widely known as a great player after only playing 5 full seasons

you know bad boy had other artist on the roster and biggie took a step back to put his crew on

pac dropped his first album at the age of 20, bigs first album dropped at 22, pac had close to a 3 year head start over biggie

I didn't say Big wasn't a great though. He is but he's not THE greatest. Nobody considers Gale Sayers to be the best running back of all time though, a better argument would have been Jim Brown.

But GOAT is asubjective and an opinion.

How can you tell someone who is their GOAT?

So what? [emoji]128514[/emoji] y'all making excuses when the fact remains he put out 2 albums. One was good, one was great. That makes him the greatest or was it the bullet holes that did it?

I think the juxtaposition of the two tracks was intentional. Big hadnt really made it yet. Juicy celebrates a coming of age and a separation from the struggles of poverty but immediately with 'Everyday Struggle' he lets you know that he's not where he wants to be yet, though he's made progress. If you place Juicy towards the end without calibrating it with a message of continued struggle then it seems like he has no more room for growth and is content with his status.

Deeper than Rap-Classic
Rich Forever- Classic

He has other projects to me that are personal classics but those are the unquestionable ones. And you're 100% right, someone's GOAT is an opinion which is why I said in my earlier post "if y'all don't agree that's cool" but it's not at all unfathomable that Rozay is better than Big.

People was already calling him one of the best ever when he was alive. He was without question the king of NY back when NY was the standard. Ain't like he died then people started praising him lol. Ross has never made anything as good as Ready To Die or Life After Death. Ross's whole formula comes from Life After Death.

i didnt know amount albums was the measuring stick for someone being considered the greatest and its funny you mentioned a mixtape as one of ross' classics

from a talent standpoint biggie is easily top 3, plus ross' subject matter is severely limited, you need to make a better argument than that

First to answer the original question, the sequencing on RTD was fine and it flows well as an album

As far as comparing Biggie to Ross? Come on

Ross isn't on the same skill level as Big and doesn't have any album or mixtape as good as RTD or LAD

Looking at your avy, I already knew what you were about. 10 years in and Rozay has no classics. He can rap another 10 years and still wont be on the level Big is on. In all seriousness, do you think Ross is better than Pun?

Ross is better than Big at this point

I always thought you were a cool dude too, damn.

I really hope you're just looking for attention.

BIG's accomplishments were much greater than the amount of albums/songs he put out. What he was able to pull off in a handful of years far surpasses what a lot of the cats y'all slob have done in a decade.

Some of y'all need to stop acting like certain historical moments didn't happen simply because you weren't around to remember them.
