Hello NT Fam!

As a member, I've had the pleasure of dealing and have had great conversations with many- both personal and through the NT platform. If possible, I'd thought I'd share the following...

I've been teaching in an inner-city elementary school in Houston for quite sometime now. I love what I do and often my biggest reward is when my former students swing by campus to drop off an invitation for their graduation ceremony. I host an after-school Lego Mindstorms Robotics class to introduce the basics and elements of robotics to my young students. Many of these programs in the area are not available until middle or high school. Lately, I have found that some of my students do continue with the interest of robotics, programming, and engineering as they move pass the elementary level.

I have decided to post the following project request on www.DonorsChoose.org in hopes of updating our current program a little at a time. You can browse the site for the purpose of Donors Choose and how it works. You can go straight to my page and project for details by clicking on my personal link:

At checkout, enter code: SPARK
Donors Choose will use this code to match all donations- no matter the amount!
Anything helps!

Your time and consideration is greatly appreciated!

Thanks from a fellow NTer,

F. Lopez

Any questions, you can PM me here as well.

Bump for exposure. Thank you for what you do.

btw OP, lego mindstorms are way overpriced I would suggest using arduino as a cheaper way to teach students programming, electrical circuits and programing

keep up the good work though
