Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 / PES2016 Thread

Maybe I just need to raise the difficulty, but scoring seems too easy. I scored on my very first ever free kick on there
I like the game overall so far. I think alot of the motions are more realistic than FIFA has been. There are definitely some things I don't like though. Most games I play literally have 0 fouls called. When a defender takes the ball off you,you literally can't recover. Your guy does this stupid animation where you physically can not move him.

That has been one of the gripes that I've been reading about a lot, youd figure patching fouls would be an easy fix. Still haven't gotten into the game yet but will probably start a master league pretty shortly.

no joke I have to make super reckless slide tackles to even have a chance of getting a yellow  no exaggeration I've probably had a total of 4 free kicks in the about 20 games I've played

Still not sure how I feel about the game. Glad I got it for $29 though. Lack of fouls is still annoying, the computer is kind of predictable. They aren't creative at all  never do any kind of trick moves or anything. Maybe I just need to raise the difficulty, but I still think it's too easy to score. The keepers are pretty nonexistent. Would love to hear other peoples opinions

Gonna start messing around with the CL mode shortly. Will let you know what I think.

I started a career with Villarreal. The presentation of this game is suck in playstation 2. It's really terrible. Also I was able to get Memphis even though he just moved to Man U

I'm having more fun with this mode than online though. I still don't know if skill moves can be useful in this game.

Also, seems like cutting in to score from the wings is a little too easy. Defenders don't close out on it the way a human opponent would.

Game is very flawed but still better than FIFA this year.

Another thing though, the scripting on this game is real as **** and very unfortunate. I had a late open headed clearance with no pressure literally get directed right at my own goalie. He parried it straight to an opponent player and got an easy tap in to win the match and led to me finishing second in m Europa group. Now I have to play Tottenham in the round of 32 instead of some bum team from Kazakhstan.

I dont mind the lack of fouls honestly. From a realism point i get what everyone is saying but from a game enjoyment point it keeps the game flowing.

My biggest gripe is the tackles and players lack of ability to realize where the ball is. Like you can be dribbling in front of a defender with perfect body position he steps in and hits the ball you are still in front of him but your guy will slow or stumble and the defender runs in front of you and takes the ball. If you have good body position it should count for something honestly.

I have had games so far with 14 shots and 1 goal. So i am not finding it "too" easy to score but still a little easy. So far though i def am enjoying the game. Just need to figure out the option file thing still

Definitely agree with your second point, that is one of the biggest issues. It just doesn't make any sense. I've also found sprinting to be pretty much useless, I feel like defenders ALWAYS catch up to you no matter who you are.
What system are you on? Uploading things is really easy on PS4 version, I assume it's gotta be about the same for the other systems

I am on PS3. I downlonaded an option file but apparently they arent' the same ps4 and ps3 option files. They have to be formatted differently. I am living with it for now. I downloaded an old ps3 option file that worked with the OG settings but i updated already to get up to date transfers so i don't know if it is fully up on that or not. When i have time i will try to mess with it. I have been a PES/WE guy forever so the names and jerseys don't really bother me.

I do hate that sprinting is basically useless. i play as city and Sterling gets run down all the time. I signed Douglas Costa as well and his speed is useless. It would be nice for a move to work every once in a while. They should incorporate "quick first step" as a skill or something. If i have the ball on the wing with sterling and im standing still and i just tap sprint to create space for a cross it should work especially if the defender is right up on me.

But if they could make players like Aguero have a better ability to hold the ball i would appreciate it. Like costing across mid flield as Yaya and having a random defender running behind him all of a sudden step in front of him is a little unrealistic.

Those generic jerseys really bother me  but I'm only uploading stuff for teams I'd actually play with and then MAYBE a few other big name teams. Also thinking about adding some mls or bundesliga (or both) teams.

What mode are u guys playing on?

I've been doing a master league on ps4 on the highest difficulty and signed Reus and Depay and pace definitely is a factor. I score easy cheap feeling goals with them especially Reus.

Didn't really play online enough to see if speed matters but something about it felt like a huge mess (I was winning my matches too so not making excuses.)

And nobody has told me if skill moves are of any use this game yet  they feel useless.

I read on other forums that the consensus is that skill moves are basically pointless

Yea it feels like it but it sucks. I wasn't a big skill move person in FIFA but there were certain situations I'd throw on some stepovers, hit a reckless charging opponent with a roulette, and use the turn one to cut in from the wing. Also I've clowned goalies a few times with rainbow flicks

The moves were awesome and rewarding whenever they'd come off. It sucks that beating opponents with the dribble is basically only a game of will he go left or will he go right.

Also if they're going to include it, then it should be executed properly. It's pretty unacceptable. The core game play of this is better than FIFA to me, but they got so much **** wrong to the point I'm convinced they spent money on those reviews.

Bruh I 100% agree with your last paragraph. Don't understand how some reviews say it's the best soccer game ever.
For the record I don't hate the game  it does alot well but also alot wrong
Also if anyone finds a file for the new Japan national team kits please let me know

Players just freezing before getting through balls into the box that should be received in stride -_-

Goalie rushing for the ball without you calling him leading to opposition goals -_-

Goalie rushing the ball when you don't call him and a defender can easily control it leading to a possession but instead he Liu Kang kicks it to the opponent -_-

My girl hates the game  she loved playing FIFA 15 with me but after yesterday she said she's done playing pes2016 lol

I still think it's better than FIFA 16 but it's soooo flawed and did not deserve the critical acclaim it got

Happy I waited and only paid $30 for it though

I got it for $30 also. I haven't tried FIFA 16 though. I think I'm done with soccer games until I know for a fact that it's good

I think it deserved the good reviews. The player models are way better then Fifa the build up play is honestly the best part. When you one touch and move through mid field can play a ball into a striker checking back hold it up play it off turn off the defender get a perfectly weighted through ball right before the goalie gets to you and chip him as he goes down....it's worth it

The core gameplay is amazing (which is the reason I'm still happy I went with it over FIFA,) but the game as a whole is severely flawed and players/reviewers just ignore it. And the "bells and whistles" do count for something, and with this game there are things about it that are way behind. And these are things that have nothing to do with licensing.

Won the treble playing on Superstar on my third season with Villarreal. Actually won the domestic double on my second season but "chose" to get eliminated from the CL by fielding bench players in the round of 16 in order to focus on winning the league. Glad I did cuz I won the league by only 1 point in season 2. Ran away with it in season 3 and steamrolled all opposition.

Team was:

.........Depay----Reus----Salah

...........J.D. Santos----Texiera
.....................Kondogbia

Gaya-Musacchio-Monolas-Rudiger

not gunna front it was fun, but way too easy to land both Depay and Reus in my first transfer window. I remember in FIFA my "big" first window buys were players like Tello and Jesé and I was so excited I was able to get them. And they carried my team
