TX Muslim student arrested after bringing homemade clock to school. vol SMH

Pretty funny that the people who agree with 97 percent of what bill maher stick their fingers in their ears and scream lalalala whenever he says something about this issue. The same people who cheer him on when he takes a dump on christianity get upset and call him a biggot when he makes a remark about islam.

That's how this website is in general. I'm not religious at all, but I've seen posters allowed to desecrate Catholicism and Judaism, but talk bad about Islam and you're out of here. Certain groups have more protection on here than others.

More people are seeing that he was coached and that this was a hoax. There was no assigned project. This should have never been brought to the school. Being a kid is a copout for him not listening to his teacher when he was told don't show it to anyone else. He defied that order and carried it around anyway. He happens to wear a NASA shirt the day it happens? Come on. Marc Cuban hit the nail on the head. Stereotypes are based on some degree of truth whether you'd like to believe it or not. We all stereotype, even against people who look like us.

I dare you to post a link to any thread where that is true

don't worry...

I'll wait.

Uh huh. But no mention of Mark Cuban and what he learned about the situation? Lol. What a surprise, Rusty attacking the source of the information.I'm not a fan of Bill Maher at all, but his statement about everyone rushing to their battle stations without researching the issue describes you perfectly.
Bill Maher didn't say that. One of his guest did. The guy from msnbc on there. You got selective hearing.

Stop being lazy and use the search function. People have talked crazy about the two for years on here. Years.
ah.... the old "ill make a claim and put the burden of proving it on other people"

i'll go ahead and say you are lying...

your lack of proof is obvious

So it is less relevant because of who said it?

A website about expensive sneakers, jewelry, and M3s is socialist?

The whole basis of the site is capitalistic in nature....

And that went over your head. The politics on this site aren't even liberal. They're beyond the normal left slant.
in what ways?

That's true. Not a lot of Obama supporters here. There are a lot of Ron Paul Libertarian and Donald Trump Neocons on this sneaker site.

Gwap trying to act like the politics on Niketalk aren't liberal. :rolleyes

the jewelry thread and legal gun thread are one of the strongest and longlasting posts on the site....

then you have hundreds of threads about $100+ sneakers... and people reselling without paying taxes

but you look at general..and see a few threads about people who are on the left...and all of a sudden the whole site is liberal?

last time I checked...

most NTers support death penalty

most NTers support lower taxes

most NTers don't support government funded social services

most NTers support the right to bear arms

what are the left leaning ways that you speak of?

at least list a few of the liberal traits that you claim.... or are you gonna ask me to list them?

But since when being liberal makes you against capitalism?

And not all liberals agree on everything. Not even close

JC I sort of admire your energy, usually when I engage with folks like that, I either lose interest, or I make a good point and the arguers conveniently ignore my post/stop responding

I'm sure you've noticed, but lots of folks made up their minds before even clicking, folks here continue to narrow their views strictly to what they want to see, it's commonplace for many people. Not a good perspective to carry around in life, IMO, but what are you gonna do.

Let the deflection game continue

I wasn't gonna comment anymore in this thread but you keep saying how people have already made up their mind as to whats going on but it seems like JC and yourself have already made up your minds as to what you think is going despite what others say as well.

the funniest thing is asking people to detail the reasons for their comments...

they run like roaches...

that's how you know they didn't really spend much time thinking before they made the comment...

easy tell

you're entitled to think whatever you'd like, but I'll reiterate in another way, maybe it will make it more clear to you. I consider myself unable to make up my mind because I simply haven't spent the time it would take to not only go over the facts but also determine which seem reasonably accurate and which are stretches of the truth or embellishments to push some sort of agenda. One person shares a far-left source, the other responds with a far-right one. Which one is accurate? Likely neither, both have "a" story to tell, but not "the" story, only the kid and teachers know it, all we can do is responsible process the info that trickles out. Think we're both done now :D

Sure.

Although i'm not sure what else information you're waiting for
  • Thought it was a bomb but they did not follow proper bomb procedure
  • And the public reacted
Maybe thats all there is to the story. Of course there are some racial undertones and its probably not an elaborate conspiracy like others said in this thread who think it was  orchestrated by the kids dad

You shouldn't have

If you think those are the only relevant pieces of information, then I don't know what to tell you. Thanks for sprinkling in some "maybe's" and "probably's" for good measure, really fortifies the conclusion that you've seemed to come to.

Rhetorical question: What was given to the public? What did they react to? How did they react? etc. etc.
Hint: look at the title of the thread

I know you're better than that, b

I'm out, due to lost of interest, not the other one...
