Whats up NT!

Thought I would share my situation.

My wife copped me a pair of Brand new DS 2001 Jordan XVI 16 (atleast thats what the description in the invoice says) via paypal invoice off a Ebayer with 100% feedback as a BDay gift. Now shes all sad and feels bad because she feels like shes given me nothing but a headache and work.

After receiving I open the box and theres some old *** socks stuffed inside shoe (no inserts) to hold the shoes form.

Huge creases and wrinkles from being worn a couple of times and even lint in the sockliner.

My wife tries contacting the dude to ask to return these and he says all this is because of age.....That shes trying to return them because they are old and that he explained that they are old in the listing description.

I say to him age does not put lint in sock liner.....

Age does not crease both shoes in same area where foot bends by big toe wearing them does...

He responds and says he personally has never worn them...

But in same message then says he tried them on once so basically he isnt sure ....

He does not want to take the return and goes into this story about some hardship trying to make my wife feel sorry.

Eff that! I filed a dispute stating invoice was for Brand new DS shoes and he sent me used shoes.

Waiting for Paypal to review right now (been a couple of days).

Here are pics of the shoes I received that he is saying are DS.

The sneakerhead in me is sooo mad at this dude for trying to pass me VNDS shoes as DS but the husband in me is just furious at this dude for trying to take advantage of my wife who is not very knowledgeable in this situation.

I review this guys 100% feedback ebay account and find one negative feedback from over a year ago (ebay 100% positive feedback=all feedback within the last 12 months) and its for...yep you guessed it trying to pass used shoes as DS....

Here are some REAL DS XVI's to compare in condition that I should have received.

You have a right to submit a claim. He stated the shoes were DS and yet they clearly werent.

Did he include actual pics of that pair after he wore it? If the shoe doesnt match the picture, you can easily get a refund too.

That was my first concern. I didnt know if paypal would understand the term DS but he has brand new in the description.
Just explain what DS means and that's all there is to it. Provide all the evidence to support your claim.

Can't believe people are still trying to sell shoes as DS when they have been worn. Smh.

I see you bought through ebay... I take it the seller listed them as "New Unworn Condition" in the description box ?

The shoes are obviously worn and you shouldn't have any trouble with your claim. Just present the pics and link to the auction.

Yeah those are worn. Put in a claim

If you get the refund, don't return them until Paypal gives further instructions on what actions to take :nerd:

LOL then he will open a thread here on NT and I will have dudes at my house like

As a personal rule, I don't buy any shoe off the net that is more than a decade old from resellers. Most of these dudes start liquidating their entire collection as vnds when you know homeboy has been doing oil changes and windmills at the local rec center in dem sh*ts. I try to do meet ups for older sneakers.

Hell, if that is not feasible then have slime send detailed pics and hold up today's newspaper with the date straight hostage style. I get angry at these dudes who pull this bs. Hope you get you money back from this.

Ahh, I feel just as frustrated and I'm not even the one in this situation. Hopefully all goes smooth with the PayPal dispute - you should be good. Keep us posted with what happens.

When you get your refund. Don't even send them back cause PayPal doesn't tell you to.

I know a NTer who kept the money cause he bought DS SBs but they came used. Your wife can get herself some nice paintings for the house with that refund check. And you get to keep your air Jordan 16

PayPal doesn't work that way, that rarely happens but PayPal will have him send the shoes back

Either way dudes are gonna come at your neck because if he gets his money back he should return them but I wouldn't blame him if he didn't

 I wonder if that dude ever got his shoes back

Looks like he tried to lay the laces over the creases.

I know the CDP 16 had a crease line across the toe box on many pair when they were new but not in a focused spot like in your photos.

The sock lint.... That makes me feels like they were worn because I can't recall a time that I've tried on a pair of shoes or heard of someone trying on shoes and having sock lint left like that in the shoe.

Ps - that price doe :x

i sold someone the 7/16 cdp for for the same price your wife got you a used pair of 16's :smh:

i hope you get your cash back bro keep us posted
