How a single mother survives on $7.50/hr

So she shouldn't get paid higher because people with degrees get paid that much

Makes sense, if you got a degree to make $20 you should complain too

im sorry but have you seen how people live in 3rd world countries...?

my mother and father both made it from 3rd world countries.  they didnt have any running water, lack of toothpaste, soap, basic necessities etc and no government asistance. they grew up on basically rice and fish. 

my parents believe americans are spoiled and i can see why. 

this lady works 20 hours a week.  she gets no sympathy from me. 

she doesn't look like she skips any meals.

When people always bring up the "do you know how people live in so and so developing nation" are you suggesting that ppl here should go to that standard of living?  
 
i think she should do whatever benefits her future the most.

20 hours a week with a 100 dollar cell phone bill isn't whats best. 

im wealthy with a good stable career, no kids, no wife, full benefits, went to school for free because of the military and my cell phone bill is half of hers.

just saying i see peoples pov when it comes to people in poverty. 

to me, she's lazy. 

i have a friend, who is single with one kid and he works 3 times as many hours as she does...doing more difficult work.

Also what was she doing after high school till she was 21?

Her kid is 1? She got pregnant at 22.

What does it matter what she did after high school if the answer people are lookingnformis college ....well most people arent motovated to seek.higher education.... not from her self.but from her surroundings. It not easy to break.from a cyclical life of poverty with out some help

Bet 1000 she got a iPhone. And she probably won't work more then 40hrs cuz her assistance will be reduced. I know too many people like this. Chick my girl know only works 2 days a week so they can pay for her apartment and sons childcare and load that ebt card up. She does hair on the side and got a pretty big clientele so this ***** be having red bottoms n louis bags on welfare smh

Idk man, whenever people bring up hood rats having LV bags or red bottoms or what not I always say it doesn't mean they have money, they're probably boosting them or buying them at discount from some swiper dude they know or have family that are swipers

Always posting her neimans bags. ***** son had a whole fendi fit on for his bday and she out her working twice a week paying 85 a month for a townhouse with a garage and getting all those free groceries. Pisses me off tho cuz this ***** just working the system.
 
At least that girl has some sort of assets, even if it means expensive bags. I know a girl that works the system and she uses her money to go gamble. I swear I don't get habitual gamblers when they have little to no money to blow it on.

Doing hair can't be that lucrative though, i mean it's not like she owns a hollywood salon charging crazy prices.  Pretty sure her clientele are the budget spender types
 
Bro my sister do hair out her crib and make enough to support herself and 2 kids. These **** paying big bucks for these hair dos. She did some braids the other day that took 8 hrs and she made 200 bucks and that's tax free. Hair is a big thing in the blk community especially if u providing the weave u can make a killing. Females is eating off that ****.

You'd be surprised. Cutting hair is almost like being a tattoo artists. If you have a good rep and a good clientele, money actually comes pretty nicely. If you don't have those things, then you are just that bummy tattoo artists or barber. My friend's wife cuts hair in SF and she rents a booth in a salon downtown and she makes about $70-80 annually. I know another guy I met through a friend and he cuts Andre Wards hair and even the Raiders when commissioned. You are talking only like fades and tapers and dude does pretty well considering.
 
Watched the video (read the article that was posted before the video) and the mgr told her to clock out after an hr of being there because they didn't need her :smh:

And you can ask, where's the family, why can't they help? and come to find that the family is struggling too so they can't afford to miss work to help her get stable.

There's a lot of different questions to what she's doing to fix her problem, but w/ having a child and no support, it's tough.



But McDonalds clocked $4.8billion in 2014 and only paid her $6000 :lol: damn shame

Various reasons. Mainly just because they don't know how. Who's going to tell them? we don't have black finance people or entrepreneurs going into the lower income areas and holding free seminars on how to open an act, save money balance a check book etc

If the parents don't know how, it's not going to be passed down to the kids. We see big places that say checks cashed money now. So they use that instead.
