At the VMAs 2015 after receiving the Micheal Jackson Vanguard Award Kanye West took the stage and went… Kanye. After a directionless ramble that took about 15 minutes he topped it of by announcing:
“And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”
This was met with a roar from the crowd. Kanye then dropped the mic and walked of stage. Was he saying this to get a “drop the mic” moment or was he serious? Here are 5 reasons why you shouldn’t be surprised if we end up with at least 4 years of President Kanye West.
1) He’s a proven hard worker.
You don’t reach the level Kanye West has arisen in his career without being a hard working and determined person. Even those who aren’t fans of his won’t deny his grit and tenacious attitude when it comes to reaching realizing his goals. He’s had the dream to be where he is today since a young age  and has had many people doubt him along the way. If he set out to become President, denying the possibility might just add fuel to the fire.
2) He has the following to pull it off.
This is a man who made someone famous by deciding to follow them on twitter. This a man who made Amber Rose a household name by taking her on a few dates. He has tremendous reality altering power because we the people give it to him. Every building he occupies is surrounded by a swarm of paparazzi at all times .Every word he speaks launches a twitter storm. We live in a country where votes are tallied to determine the President and Kanye has the numbers.
3) People are tired of old career politicians.
The political waters are still and murky. Barack Obama appeared on the scene and shook it up a bit but after sometime the ripples have subsided. The American people are tired of the ways things are going and the people responsible for setting us on this course. Its like a girl escaping a bad relationship. The guy she gets with next will most likely will be nothing like her ex, even if she has to make plenty of compromises. A “rebound”. American thought they were doing so with Barack Obama but after the infatuation faded we found out (although an improvement) he wasn’t to different than the last guy. America is ready to dump the valedictorian and get with the lead vocalist.
4) Look how well Donald Trump is doing.

Who the hell though so many people would take Donald Trump seriously? Him. As stated earlier people are ready for new and hes got a glass full of it. His brash, honest and at times absurd behavior is refreshing to the American people. His numbers are rising as quickly as the sweat falls down Hilary’s forehead and hes in control of it all. With Donald Trump showing how its done and Kanye being on the other side of the same coin. We can see where the last ounce of inspiration needed to run for President came from.
5) This is the country that voted for this guy twice.
After living through eight years of Bush that almost razed the country. After watching the country being attacked by Saudi Arabian hijackers who served an Afghan and seeing how that used to sway the public into supporting a war with Iran, in search of weapons of mass destruction that didn’t exist. After speaking to many fellow Americans  throughout daily life and evaluating their intelligence, leading me to loose faith in the country knowing every single one of these people has a vote they are willing to use. After reviewing America’s blooper reel over and over. It would not surprise me in the least bit if we decide that Kanye West will make a good president in the year 2020. Why not West?

If Kanye has such a strong "following" as suggested by this article why didn't his last album Yeezus sell a million copies?? Perhaps his "following" isn't as dedicated as the article or maybe he thinks.

I know way too many people who hate Kanye than any other human in the world..... I don't even tell people I'm a Kanye fan anymore.... [emoji]128557[/emoji]
