Chicago Bulls Season Thread 35-33 -- vs kings 3.21/3.23 vs knicks/3.24 knicks

i down for rebuilding with dunn wiggins tank next season and get another high pick and hopefully we get a good free agent for once. trade gibson also

The T-Wolves aren't going to give up Wiggins, but I think it's stupid on there behalf so your going to have Wiggins and Butler that basically play the same position? Anyways I would take Muhammad, Lavine, Dieng and the 5th Pick for Gibson and Butler no need to be greedy.

This bulls org as a whole has no clue. they failed to maximize's rose's youth by not surrounding him with a supporting cast (getting injured didnt help either). and now they'll ruin maximizing butler's youth by not doing jack s**t.

and i love my chicago bulls but damn.....get a clue

The year he got hurt was their window. Once he got hurt that window closed. He never recovered and it was time for a change. I ain't mad at the Bulls. Had they sat on him for another underwhelming year would've been the worst. Is Jimmy next the real question here...
 
that was a dumb *** trade I can't deal with this bs at least start the season and see how things go before the trade deadline
 
The dark days are here. I thought last season was tough to watch, i just can't even imagine what the opening day's roster looks like.

LOL why? i always said i dont live in the city so maybe i see it different then yall, but i love Drose just as much as the next fan and what he dude for the team and this hurts

but the break up was coming. why keep holding on to something thats not working anymore? this team aint winning as is and he is part of it. 

if boston or T'wolves would give up the farm for bulter im sure the bulls would move him also but there trying to short change the bulls with offers.

I agree.

By any advanced metric or the eye test, Rose was god awful last year. Sure, he had some nice offensive outputs from time to time, but they were negated by his defense.

It was time. The question is whether or not we re-tool or flat out rebuild. I'd rather tank tbh, as much as it would suck short term.

I agree.

Finally some common sense prevails.
If we go full-on rebuild we deal Jimmy if not we re-tool.
Writings on the wall for Gar and Fred...best believe Pax will use them as scapegoats.
 
Rose wasn't going to come back after next season. KC Johnson said Rose been ignoring the Bulls all summer so.... It's better to get something then nothing I just wish we have got better assets.
 
I wanted to see rose perform for a contract.. I guess ill be watch ny..

D rose single handedly revived chicago basketball and that is truth..

Him being drafted alone brought the whole city back to basketball. That night he was drafted..everyone at bars screaming like we just won another ring.. We thought we had just drafted the next Jordan..He gave up hope and revived our organization from the Nocioni/ben gordan days..

Just a shame we came up short. But theres no doubt about it that Derrick Rose single handedly revived Chicago basketball and brought hope for a ring back to this city.

No GM in their right minds would have traded valuable assets for Derrick Rose this off-season, the year before, or the year before that.
 
I'm still shocked. I hate Lopez and Calderon......this team is garbage
. Looks like 2yrs in a row that I won't attend another Bulls game at the UC. Riendsdorf, Foreman, and Paxson are destroying our team.

You wanna get rid of him? Fine. I'm cool with parting ways, but Jesus christ, Calderon and Brooks is what u get back??? Two bona-fide bums. Calderon is 49yrs old and they both make a buttload of money. We are garbage. Hot freaking garbage. Screw the front office. They have none of my trust.
 
Wait hold up y'all tripping this bs type of trade could have been done at any time before the trade deadline we got nothing at all not one damn.

1st off he played way better towards the back end of the season.

Just to say we needed to get rid of him just for the duck of it is dumb that's dumb logic. We got as much back as letting him walk not a damn thing.

To sit here and still question if we re-tooling or re-building is just as dumb this is the start of a complete blow up rose gone Noah gone pau gone, we have nothing but a lot of young unproven players and some trash and butler.

Like we gave rose up and a pick to get him off the team could have kept him and waited to see what happened towards the deadline anything could have happened injuries to any number of PGs that could have got us something more then this bs it's not that he got traded it's how it was done just like most things dealing with this FO like trash!
 
good move bulls. lopez is on a cheap deal for a big man and we get a young PG in return. bulls need to find way to get Calderon off this team.
I dont care what season he has with the knicks he was NOT playing with the bulls in the 17/18 season. The relationship was broken. I'll be happy if he does well with the knicks. wish it didnt go down like this just wasnt meant to be. all the best drose great memories for a bit.

if durant leaves westbrook to bulls next year to play with butler. book it!!!!

bulls should look into trading mirotric. would love to trade up to get sabonis
