Chicago Bulls Season Thread 35-33 -- vs kings 3.21/3.23 vs knicks/3.24 knicks

Why not just tank for the year and get back in the lottery in a nice draft year? :smh:

How often does tanking work honestly, I'll give a few examples The Baby Bulls Era and the Clippers from the early 2000s none of those situations panned out, your basically relying on pontential and good drafting which this FO hasn't done the last couple years, we all know that.

I'm seriously shocked that they pulled this move off. Last Friday when free agency started I was reading that the Bulls were talking to Rondo and Wade but I had no inclination that they would be all the Bulls a week later.

Both deals are favorable Wade 2 years with a player option and Rondo 2 years with mutual option I'm not mad. We got Dunleavy off the roster which was essential I still want Snell gone but it's ok for now.

Don't forget we potentially could get the Kings pick if it falls out the Top ten. One of the reasons why I thought this would never happen is because of the spacing would be awful and probably will but the FO was like the hell with it.

Look anything is possible in the new NBA the Bulls could land one of the big names in 2017 you never know. If you read the article we would have 65 million in cap space if we didn't pick up Rondo's option but with the Wade signing it reduces to about 40 mill we will have room for one max guy.

I think this should be the starting because of spacing

Rondo
Wade
Butler
Niko
Lopez

Bench:
Grant
Valentine
Dougie
Portis
Gibson
Snell
Felcio

They should be competitive at-least

But we are also talking about a organization that has a history of not getting elite free agents. I think the whole 'Wade being a recruiter next year' for us is overblown. I dont see a 36 year old having much pull with elite players. Who knows if Wade even resigns with us after his opt out. Just doesnt make any sense to get 10 more wins and sneak in as the 8 seed and get rolled in the first round.

Im not putting much stock in Wade doing us a solid next summer, hes out for his money now not so much for rings. For as much drama as we had in the locker room we bring two more head strong dudes who think they are never wrong.

Maybe its just me but i would have rather missed the playoffs and got in the lottery than be the 7 or 8 seed. Guess only time will tell

It's good to have Wade on board. While he's not as explosive as in his mid 20s he still was doing very good last season.
Concerning Rondo, I hope he plays like the Celtics Rondo and not like the Mavs Rondo.

I'm just glad this happened because it gives me some hope for the future as far as landing more FA's. Also, this is a dagger through the hearts of those Heat fans that gave us crap over the past several years :smokin I don't expect this team to go deep into the playoffs but at least it's a reason to watch the games

Lake Shore Drive Lake Shore Drive I wasn't going anywhere fam, however I will still pay close attention to the TWOLVES simply because of Thibs.

And all u guys downing the Rondo move, did any of ya watch him play in Sacramento last season? :nerd: .. Don't let what happened in Dallas fool ya, Rondo was balling. If he can keep his attitude in check he will be a good fit for us.

@Bigmike23 both are Centers but Robin will be great coming off the bench if we could land Vucevic

I agree with the Rondo signing under a few conditions, 1) if Jimmy can get his 3pt back up to 38%. 2) Niko has to hit at least 40% of his threes at a high clip. If these two things happen I think we can be at least a 5 seed. I'm not a fan of Vucevic. Him and Niko would be food on defense.

Firstly, thank you for addressing me as "Mr."

Second, adding Rajon Rondo and a 34 year old, scummy, Dwayne Wade is hardly something to be proud of.

Team will be better than planned, but that's not a good thing unless you miraculously land Russy or Blake or Boogie. Come talk to me then.

Nobody used the word proud but like I said know it all...we would add pieces and still are. Another cool player (possibly one of the two you named above  ) will be coming shortly.

Continue on ranting :smh:

No need for that bruh, it's been a tumultuous summer for the entire Bulls fam or whatever's left after many deserted.
Let's not fight amongst ourselves, let's just agree to disagree on certain personnel.

Now the real question is......who's gonna man up and create the new team thread? time to turn the page.

Denzel, I like that pick a lot. I would have him at point guard in the future. He just got a knack for the passing game and mid rangr

Good looking out PJ!
You're an active member and will regularly update the thread.

Side note whatever happened happened to coldcity coldcity ??
I know some troll in the NBA thread baited him and he got banned, but did he ever come back? :nerd:

Zach back, Dunn balling, Bobby showing a little more consistency and Laurie balling. I want one more young piece out of the draft

excited to see what lavine does this year. i still want to see the tank, trade niko/valentine & get some decent picks in return. a top 5 pick in a good draft to go along with the development of young players ...despite awful moves from garpax they really made up ground with the butler trade
