So we all know the standard fit for ladies:  Uggs or some TB flats or Riding boots with lulu lemon tights and a North Face raincoat, fleece, or a hoody.  Usually a Kate Spade or Burberry scarf.  Accessorize with a Michael Kors watch, some Alex and Ani bangelettes, and a pumpkin spice beverage...This been the "look" for years now and due to social media it has gone 'mainstream' to the point where chiccs post pics of they starbucs like "BASIC!!!!!!!"

My question is: Is it a male version of the basic *****??  Are we out here looking stereotypical (for lacc of better term) too?

I don't know if I would call it basic, but the dudes at my school all wear golf polos, chubbies and some boat shoes. It's like their uniform.

f_boy?

hypebeast?

idk if there is as universally an over used term for men like basic is for women

before it went mainstream basic just meant person who didn't think for themselves/went with the trends right?

I feel like it got associated with an image because women who didn't think for themselves generally had the same kind of look/interests/likes.

White girls with leggings, uggs, starbucks, infinite scarf and a white iPhone >>>

That's pretty much it. That is pretty much the de facto uniform since high school. The only thing that changes is that the watch gets more expensive and the drink in the bro's hand changes with age. It starts with an energy drink, then Mike's Hard Lemonade, then some crappy light beer, then Sam Adams, then Guinness, then an IPA, then a Martini, then a Gin and Tonic, then an old fashioned, then a Manhattan and as of right now, a Lime Ricky.
