Too many to name but Kendrick Lamar is 3 for 3. I don't think anyone in the past five years have three consecutive projects that are flawless. Or at least measure up to Kendricks last three in a row.

I definitely agree with this. I left Section 80 out the of my top 5 but that along with Distant Relatives (Nas & Damian), How I Got Over (Roots), Life is Good (Nas) and 2014 Forest Hills Drive (Cole) and are definitely honorable mentions.

Wouldn't Distant Relatives and MBTDF be 6 years tho?
DR dropped may 14, 2010 so its just over five years. I figured we were giving the whole calendar year til December 2015. MBDTF didn't release til November of 2010 so it hasn't be five years since that release.

Seems like we all agree Kendrick has been creating the best bodies of work consistently. Section 80 is my personal favorite and the most relatable. But what also sticks out to me is no one has listed a Drake project, arguably the most popular artist in the genre. Will Drake ever put out a flawless album?

and thats what I got
Crenshaw was my #11.
There was a lil filler.
My version on my Spotify is 15 songs. A lil A&R work and it would've been a CLASSIC.

Take Care was on the cusp. Same issue as Crenshaw, minus maybe 4 songs it would've been as close as flawless as he can be.

Drake music caters to such a wide range of people it would be nearly impossible for it to be universally "flawless". Cause if you came for "Marvins Room" and "Take Care" then "The Ride" and "Look What You've Done" might not be as important, and vice versa.

It's not like the Illmatic days where everyone came for the same thing.

Drake hasn't been mentioned IMO because Drake has mediocre to good projects but he hasn't put out a GREAT project. I am not a huge Drake fan but I think he is talented and definitely has the ability to put out a great project with diverse subject matter.
