OFFICIAL 2015-2016 NBA FANTASY BASKETBALL THREAD

If Eric Gordon was dropped in your league, take a hard look at him. He'll be starting tomorrow and could have a nice run to end the season barring another injury. I dropped Jennings for him and since I'm locked into a top 4 seed for playoffs, I can wait for him to get back up to speed. My playoffs start in 2 weeks.

I've got a big problem heading into my first round playoff matchup in my fantasy points league on Monday: my schedule.

I've got a 15-man roster and no one scheduled to play on March 1 or March 3, while my opponent has several players playing both of those days. Simply due to scheduling, I think I'll need to drop three players for ones scheduled to play on those days just to have a chance of winning. There's another week to the matchup (two weeks per round), but still.

I know I'm going to drop Amir Johnson, but which other two players should drop?

Here's the players I'm thinking of and their last 7 days stats:

JR Smith- 18.7

Blake Griffin (Likely won't play till at least the second round and will probably miss most of that too, I also have four Clippers)- 0

Michael Carter-Williams- 19.9

Jamal Crawford- 17.9

Ian Mahinmi- 20.6

In one of my leagues I started out 7-0 and then went 2-8 to finish out the season. Ended up finishing in 7th place and missed the playoffs  :smh:.

Locked up the #1 seed and the first round bye in my other league though. Finished 13-4.

good luck in the playoffs everyone

Managed to hold on and take 2nd place to earn the bye week.

I'm a little upset that I traded away Antentounkompo about a month before he was unleashed to become Point Giannis. My team would've been so strong. I also lost Gallinari but I'm hoping for the best now.

Good luck to you all and in the words of KG

"ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!"

Made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Grabbed Lance Stephenson off waivers on friday and he might be the catalyst to my squad getting back to the finals. Got a tough matchup this week against the guy I lose to twice already this year during the season though (same division). He dropped Faried for some reason on saturday night so I was able to swoop him up today with my waiver claim. I droppe Harrison Barnes for him.

The most droppable players for him are Mills, Mirotic, Grant, and Mahinmi. If it's categories then I don't see Gibson being a significant upgrade in any category among the last three unless you're desperate to improve your rebounding and blocks, in which case I'd drop Mills.

You will lose pogiwun pogiwun there's nothing you can do.

Yeah I will probably lose 5-4. I tried my best too. This cat was the #1 seed the entire time he had a really good draft. Sucks that I had Bosh and Bledsoe :smh:

Man I have Bosh too and I used up all 5 of my waiver picks yesteday and today to make up for all i'm missing with him!

I'm winning 5-4 but I'm worried dude may pull a stunner.

There's no way you'll win rebounds so I'd focus on steals and turnovers. Play 4-5 of your high-steal players, bench the rest, and hope for the best.

My opponent and I both have 7 players left today.

I have

I Canaan vs BOS

J Redick @ NOR

B Jennings @ TOR

H Thompson vs BOS

J Holiday vs LAC

I Smith vs BOS

T Douglas vs LAC

Opponent has

G Hayward @ MIL

K Porzingis vs SAC

C McCollum @ DAL

J Parker vs UTA

R Gobert @ MIL

S Mack @ MIL

B Biyimbo vs ORL

Who should I bench? I know I will win steals but all my players turn the ball over a lot smh

Yeah that's the tough part is playing just enough guys to win steals vs. not too many guys to where you lose turnovers. It'd help if some had later games so you could continue to adjust your lineup accordingly, but almost everyone plays at 6.

You can at least see how McCollum and Biyombo do for a half in terms of steals and turnovers first.

I say definitely sit Jennings since he has a high turnover to steal ratio and because he plays early. I'd play Smith, Douglas, and probably Canaan for sure. As far as Redick, Thompson, and Holiday you'll just have to see how your opponents team is doing at 5:55 and try to project about how many turnovers and steals his remaining players will get. Redick and Thompson are obviously low turnover/low steal while Holiday is a high-risk, high-reward play.

BRANDON3000 + AGENTZERO - appreciate all the help. It would have been awesome if I made it to the finals in basketball. Thanks to all the NT Fam I won my FOOTBALL fantasy it would have been nice to talk smack at work if I took BASKETBALL tool :D

My fantasy basketball draft did not go so well but I was able to work the wire. Losing Bosh and Bledsoe killed me.

It's all good I can still try to win my money back in the 3rd place game.
