NikeLab continues to test the bounds of both performance and aesthetic innovation, and their latest appears to deftly marry together the two often disparate concepts. Meet the masterpiece of understatement that is the Nike Payaa.

Subscribing to the school of minimalism that’s headlined by shoes like the Air Presto and Roshe Run, the Nike Payaa boasts a one-piece mesh build that’s secured with bungee-style laces and wraps the ankle in a bootie-like construction. That striking upper is built atop a sole unit that combines midsole and outsole into a single piece, remarkably similar to the unit that’s currently starring on the Hyperfr3sh.

The shoe appears poised for a winter launch, but it looks to be a superb summer silhouette. Still, anytime NikeLab sees fit to drop the shoe — and it sounds like it’ll be quite soon — we’ll be lining up to grab a pair. Check out a slew of photos of the first four colorways below, and stay tuned for launch info.

i want the blue and whites in my closet right now.
 
grabbed the black, i think i'll be satisfied for 80 bucks

might go back for the bone, did you guys go true to size?
 
Just saw these.. they look pretty fresh and  you can definitely spot the influences from other models. 
 
Did they just drop the price on these? Seeing $80 now. I went .5 down since they seem socklike with minimal structure. 
 
why are the light bone and hot lava $20 more? all are supposed to be the same technology no? leather insole sounds delightful

refreshed and they are all now on the same page and all $100!

though my order went through with the black pair for $80! looks like Nike made a 1 hour long $20 mistake... grats to those who scored a free 20%!

waitin in line for 80...if it pops up Ill buy but otherwise probably pass
 
I sure hope they honor the $80 price tag because I swooped in just before they fixed it

This model is interesting. Look forward to more colorways and seeing on feet pics.
 
Copped the grey or "bone" pair. Excited to see what they look like on feet. If I like them I'll get the black pair next.
