Do you correct the cashier if you catch them making a mistake in your favor?

If you snitch you might end up in trouble for even knowing.

Some guy found a loop hole in the POS system at Starbucks. When you check out with a empty debit 3/5 times it restarts the system and it bounces credit on to the card, thus giving you a free drink and money on the card.

He told starbucks and he's getting federal time or a lawsuit for showing the flaw to the company.

Nope.

I've been to food joints where I'll get somebody else's order along with my own. One time at the grocery I was given someone's bag of hot pockets when I was taking my bags from checkout. Got fruit for free cuz it wasn't rang up. Lady scanned some 2 liter sodas and I guess it was still registering like the sale was still going when it definitely was not so I got em all for $1 plus tax when it was more than that and a few more things like that.

Never correct them.

Like 90% of the time. If i don't it's because I didn't notice in time.

I do it all the time.

My mom on the other hand, nope! I remember one time she bought some pastries for work and paid with a hundred. Some how she got the a hundred back in twenties plus the cost. She gets my attention like "vamonos, vamonos, andale" I'm like what is going on. We get in the car and shes like "vieja pendeja, me regreso todo el dinero y mas" (dumbass lady gave me back all the money plus more)

Funny earlier this week i went to the gas station , paid the cashier for my gas and a pack of gum , she didnt charge me for the gum , even tho it was 1.97 i still went back and told her she didnt charge ... idk man im trying to be a better person . What goes around comes around so i try to keep it clean on my end .

I do

But once the cashier was a real ***** to me and ended up giving me an extra 5

I kept quiet

There was an experiment on some show about this before and it depended on the attitude of the barista (it was in a coffee shop). When she was nice everyone gave the wrong change back but when she was doing her bad worker routine everyone kept it.

Honestly im with the ones saying it depends on the place. If its a larger chain store then no, but a mom and pop shop? They need to eat too.

So if it's not a big chain. Then it's okay?

That's a symptom of a racists

If I'm white and the store owner is white, I'm just a run-of-the-mill a-hole. If I'm white and the store owner is Asian, then I'm a certified racist. That's how it works, right?

Usually, I'll correct them. For major purchases for sure. I wouldn't want the cashier to get into trouble. I used to be a  cashier and I'd get written up for being short/over. Tough times.

Not too long ago I was eating out with one of my friends. We ordered at least $45+ worth of food. When we got the check, bill came out to $21. Turned out the waitress gave us the wrong check. We didn't say a word and gladly paid it.

A long time ago my girl went to Nordstrom to return some $1200 Valentino shoes. After the return, we notice the lady at the register starts bagging up the shoes and asked if she would like the receipt with her or in the bag. She says, 'Uhh, in the bag?' Lady throws the receipt in the bag and smiles to my girl and tells us to have a good day. We dipped the F out of Nordstrom after that.

But if karma is real, what if that's some positive coming back around for something good u did and bad for the server?

Happened to me for the last time years ago.

Before going to the movies, my lady and I grab some coffee. Pay with a ten, knowingly get back a twenty and some change. We watch The Family Man and there's a scene where a girl at the liquor store knowingly gets back incorrect change in her favor. Don Cheadle, as God, says to Nicholas Cage, "See, character. All for a couple bucks."

Went back the next day, bought a coffee, dropped a twenty in the tip jar.

That movie changed my damn life.

Wat if that 20 was good karma coming back to you.
And bad karma coming back to the cashier.
Or god hookin u up

Got a money order to pay my rent like 8 months ago or so from the Walmart money center ($740). Dropped the rent off at the office and 3 days later I see the charges from my account were reversed. So I'm thinking the money order got cancelled but I wait it out to see if my complex lets me know the rent is late and if they did I would show them the money order receipt and blame Walmart for the mess up to avoid the late fee. Turns out they never say anything to me so I just came up off $700 from Walmart or western union or whoever got the short end of the stick. Needless to say I didn't let anybody know and kept the bread

**** not too long ago i was at walmart and the lady gave me extra 10 dollars change and i immediately told her she gave me too much and was glad about my honesty. there is situations where a person will be reprimanded so i do the right thing because i put myself in their shoes.....thats their livelihood
