This makes sense from what I saw. Jada's hairline is damn near perfect for a man his age. It just looks like something happened early in life and the hair never grew back properly in that spot.
My little cousin took scissors to his hair as a youngn and chopped a small upside down triangle shape patch near his hairline. Whenever his hair grew out that imprint was always there, his dad had to make him get light ceasars for a long time to even it out. Haven't seen him in years so I don't know what it is like now, but a that time the hair in that spot never grew at the same rate as the rest of his head.
