Has to be Luc, man. I don't care how many games we win with thsi guy. If/when we start going up against teams like SA, OKC, GS in the 'offs there is no way his 4ppg is gonna be enough for us. And I don't see him playing good enough defense against a KD to offset that.

Don't see it happening, bro. I've already seen quotes from Doc calling Luc the most "under-appreciated" Clipper and saying he can "guard all 5 positions." And once Doc gets a narrative out there, he tends to stick with it.

I could be totally wrong but I want to say the following is true.


-Jamal is up after this year: 6 mil
-Lance is up after this year: 9 mil
-DJ being gone would have freed up what, 19 mil?


-Mcgee signed for 1.2
-cole signed for 1.2

That's 32 mil freed up after this season. Endure one rocky season and then you're at a pyroll of about 65 mil.

about 2/3 of the NBA will have enough cap room to sign max guys so it doesnt mean as much as it did in past years

I honestly can't eem make an argument for DJ being better than Cole at this point. So sad to say that

Kind of saw this L coming. Sac has been playing fairly well and were down 2 starters. But still.
Doc's devotion to Luc and PP hurt us in this one. Lance should have got some minutes.

I think what I would say is that in terms of basketball skills (shooting, footwork, passing, boxing out, etc), Cole is superior. But I wouldn't put ahead of DJ in terms of just raw ability to impact a game positively for the Clippers. DJ is a threat for a 20/20 game on any given night. I don't think you can say that about Cole.

DJ is my guy but he's only scored 20 points twice this year . Definitely a better rebounder and shot blocker but I think Cole is better offensively and defensively. I think the bigger point is that if you any type of offensive skill, CP3 will make you look great. Just having buyer's remorse after seieng what we're getting out of Cole for 20 mil less a year.

Having some sort of offensive skills outside of athletic dunks just makes Cole a good center to play with CP3.

I think Cole will benefit playing with Blake too.

How has the team rebounded without DJ and with Cole? The "let DJ clean up the defensive glass" seems to hurt the clips overall. Been a weak rebounding team for 2+ years....and it doesn't make much sense when 3 of the 5 players are good rebounders for their position (Cp3, Blake, DJ) .

Hard to say with a two game sample but it seems about the same, with Coles two starts, the average team rebounds 44.5/gm.

For the season so far, looks like the teams average is about 43/gm.

And this year is actually one of CP3s lowest reb average so far.

I hear you. I'm not saying DJ is indispensable by any means and he's for sure overpaid. That's why I wasn't all that upset when it looked like we were going to lose him in the Summer. But we did re-sign him and are paying him crazy money, so I'm just trying to look at the bright side of the situation.

^ believe me, I was leading the "we need to keep DJ" parade back in July I was happy for him when he glt the Dallas deal and was even happier when he changed his mind and came back. I'm just now wondering if Dallas was actually doing us a favor by teying to take him away.

Hope you're right about tonight. But second night of a back-to-back in LA seems like a recipe for Harden to have one of his traditional **** games against the Clippers. *crosses fingers*

Just hope Doc keeps JJ on Harden and doesn't stick out defensive "ace" Luc on him.

My logic is that it is Really hard to beat a team 3 straight times, and the first two were flukes anyway.

If DJ plays im almost positive we'll win. 

But I am an idiot so we'll probably lose now
