OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2023-2024 SEASON THREAD

We gonna use this as the offseason thread or should I make a separate thread?

That's crazy, not even 10 games back and Blake reinjures his Quad. Someone ****** up on behalf of the Clippers.

I've think I've jinked us bros. I was cheering Steph's injury and look what happened. Damnit I cried last night. I've been through so much with this team.

Didn't he say he was misdiagnosed so he spent 2 months doing the wrong rehab? Idk how our training staff still has a job. Chris Paul might get his hand amputated if you let our staff have a say

I honestly have to laugh to keep from crying. Just so ridiculous.

As you all know, I've tried to keep my expectations with this team pretty realistic throughout this bizarre *** season, but the last couple weeks of the regular season did increase my optimism a bit. I should have known better.

Now I'm just hoping we put up a fight for the remainder of this series.

I feel for you. On the other hand, I'd rather rest JJ and Blake for the rest of the series. Might as well lose now and let Blake get a jumpstart than risk any further injuries. This had to be a top 3 worst season in Clippers history. For sure in my lifetime. I would take one of our old 18 win seasons over the **** that happened this season. Last night was just the icing on the cake.

I'm with you. I'm already assuming Blake is done. But I'd be fine with JJ sitting too. But if that's the case, I'm not sure how much of the remaining games I can watch. The Jamal-Jeff Green-Austin show wasn't exactly pleasing to watch last night. Especially Jamal. Dude played like a ball hog in a rec league game. :smh:

But, yeah, this season has been notably agonizing throughout.

^^^ Yeah, I'd still rank the choke against the Rockets as my worst Clippers moment since we were so close to advancing further than we'd ever gone before and blew it in such a spectacular fashion.

Last night is definitely No. 2 though. Partially because I think it likely is the beginning of the end for this Clippers era. Just seems like a sign that the ceiling with this group has been reached. I foresee major changes in the offseason . . . and I'm not necessarily against it.

What's funny is that at the gym yesterday me and some other Clipper fans were thinking "There's no way LAC can top what they did last season"

but this is 3 straight years man. Nothing Tops Last season game 6, but man does this come strikingly close. CP has a career year, and for the 2nd straight year after playing 70+ reg season games, suffers a big time injury man. **** me

It's wild man. We're cursed.

To lose Blake and CP in one game...Like, that is Peak Clippers right there man.

My spirit for the playoffs this season is completely gone. I don't even care anymore.

Pity Party at my place. Thots, Jameson, and some of them funny cigarettes. We can watch Game 6 on a loop.

Like i've said before, it ain't that we be losing. In years prior, and one could argue even this year, (Even though I would semi disagree) the roster was flawed and wasn't truly going to win a championship. Losing in the playoffs is one thing. Only one team can win per season.

But the way the Clippers lose man, it's like....you've got to be kidding me.

In consecutive years,:

-Blake breaks his ankle at practice in the middle of a 2-2 first round series.

-The next season, in the middle of the playoffs your owner is outed as a racist in a scandal that's still going to this very day. Not to mention your team completely meltsdown and blows game 5 against OKC by collapsing in the last 2 minutes.

-The very next season, Your star PG plays in 88 consecutive games before blowing his hamstring in GAME FREAKING 7. Then, in the next round, the team gets up 3-1, gets up 20 in the 4th quarter of a closeout game in game 6, and completely blows it.

The very next season, in the middle of a 2-1 series, your best player breaks his hand, and your star PF reinjures his quad that had him sidelined for 45 games.

Like...these ****** don't "just lose." They literally find the most catastrophic way year in and year out to blow it.

Damn, bro. Wasn't even that depressed about this season ending prematurely before your post. Now I'm like - :frown: :frown: :frown:

I wonder if even Ballmer is now like, "****, man, maybe this team really is cursed. What a waste of 2 billie."

Damn shame. I was rooting for you guys too because CP3 is one of the two players NT is the most ridiculously irrational about.
