Anybody ever get caught up in real life because of NIketalk vol worlds colliding?

Sometimes I will respond to a post and then later realize I may have kept it too 100, too many identifying details that if someone who knows me or runs in my circle read the post they could tie back to me and whoever else or whatever situation I am referencing. I usually go back and edit them out entirely or just change it to something else in a way that doesn't take away from the message conveyed but switch up a name or place.

But has anyone ever posted something on here too personal, that then someone got a hold of and sent the link or told somebody in your offline life (I typically refer to social media as internet life, apart from real life)? What happened?

I don't know for a fact that anyone I know posts on here. I know some guys with massive Jordan collections, who might, because if nothing else I could see him wanting to stunt with likeminded individuals, but again not sure. If so, he'd hate to know which of my stories involve his cousin who is like a sister to him.

But anyways, I have been able to keep my internet and real life completely separate. This includes keeping the girl in the dark about the existence of Niketalk as well
 
On the 15th annivesary of NT everyone was posting pics of NT and putting them on instagram

So I said "F it I'll do the same"

Obviously had my username.... wasn't the smartest thing to do at the time

Bit me months later in the butt

Told this story before.

But i was in Hawaii for 2 months for work (light humblebrag) and had a on again off again girl back home who was slightly aware of NT and my name.

In some random thread i was like, both girls i was messing with in Hawaii had something goin on..posted some ish like, one is hanging out with her friends/fam and the other was on her period so i was bored out of my mind.

A week or so later i get a text saying how i was a sick individual, garden tool, or what have you.

I said some dumb lie like i have multiple names on NT and only tell the truth on my other name....not even sure what my lie was to cover it up, but it was stupid lol :smh:

she stuck around for a little while.

Now i dont even care. just dont say stuff that comprises my work situation. :nerd:

My fam knows I'm on my NT...I interned with a dude who said he was on NT but I forget his SN...my homie is on here but he hasn't posted in a while his SN is OGTIM216 or somethin like that

Oh yea I met the guy who gave me my sig back in 06...,I've actually "knew" him for a while because of his job..I forget his name he worked at the cd game exchange in maple heights outside of Cleveland.good dude last I remember he married into a wealthy family or something like that

I honestly believe he's the guy that sold me street vol 2 back in 03...they had it a week early [emoji]128526[/emoji]

Don't care cuz I never lied on nt. A dude was behind me in line at champs one day and saw I was on nt and said something about it. I swear all us Detroit nters know each other or got mutual friends. City too small b we got to.
 
Didn't some NTer lose his job because somebody on here snitched on him to his boss?

It was during the MySpace era

But to answer the question, I haven't. Then again, I hardly divulge any of my personal life on here.
 
Nah b. Too many stalkers out there. There's some weird dudes on nt who are upset about me and invested so much emotionally into me, it's creepy. They get upset i dont put pics of myself and tried calling me out about that.
 
Since everyone is too savvy and cool to post personal info on here I'll tell a lame *** story.

I was about 19, im 27 now, so only a year removed from high school. We were posting bad chicks that we knew in some thread. Some cat posted chicks that I knew from a nearby high school. I commented that I knew of some of chicks he posted, I had seen em at parties and what not. I post the chicks from my school that were bad and knew those girls.

I get a message from someone with the avy of one of the chicks I recognized. She was saying how its foul to post girls pictures without their permission and asking who I was and what not and that she would inform my female friends that I posted them on here.

I continue to party with the chicks from my HS and nothing changes. Turns out that lame *** dude created that account to try find out who I was, if I knew him, and try to cover his tracks.

It did teach me a lesson tho, I aint posting nobody on here. This was about the time when dudes were really getting caught up when posting chicks on here and now you'll barely see someone post bad girls they know.
 
No detailed personal info online for me. I don't even use my real info for social media. You never know man....
 
No. Because I'm the same person online as I am offline. There's nothing to expose.

Would you go to a bar and start showing random patrons pictures of your attractive female friends? No. Then why on the Internet?

People automatically think its someone from NT who snitched but everyone forgets that this is a public messageboard that literally ANYBODY can access without an account. This isnt a personal attack or anything by the way i just think people should be way more smarter with what they post.
 
No I haven't. What's funny though is that I've post pics of chicks I've smashed or in the process of smashing in TAY and it hasn't gotten back to me (knocks on wood). I try to stay discreet but I'm on NT constantly in my phone and some family members and females I'm involved with know about NT but they all call it "Nike chat" or "Nike Blog" and think all we talk about is sneakers >D
 
ITS DEFINITELY FUNNY HOW PPL I KNOW REFERENCE NT LOL .. BUT I DONT REALLY POST ANYTHING PERSONAL ON HERE. SAME GOES FOR TWITTER AND IG AND ALL THAT.. ITS JUST "NORMAL" STUFF

I've always been very mindful of what I post here. There have been a few times I had to edit my post or ask a fellow NTer (:nerd:) to change something, though. Chicks be watching man.:lol:
