Why is Fabolous so underrated?

I mean Fabolous is so underrated nobody ever really pay attention to him. Hes like a rapper that dont even have any existence. He has dope punchlines, metaphors, and a slick flow. Many people say he copied Mase swagger nonetheless. The reason I think he doesnt get any attention because he has not created an album that has a lot of substance. Maybe its just not him, maybe hes one of those rappers who just rap for fun.

His first album was his best album, during a time when albums meant more than tapes and albums actually sold. His mixtape game is crazy, but for whatever reason (industry or label requirements?) none of his albums after his 1st album came close to touching his mixtapes.  Dude has remained in the game for a long *** time and seems to be eating just fine though, so salute him.

Honestly, I think it's because he's just comfortable in his lane. Fab could have been a superstar. But I feel like he just wanted to be a lil more low key. And his albums aren't as good as his mixtapes. Although, Loso's Way was damn good. I don't know why it didn't get more love.

Fab isn't interesting at ALL.
He doesn't have that intangible that just sticks with people. The talent is there, the swag, the hits, the style, the ability is all there he simply isn't interesting and in 17 years what do we really know about the guy?

On Loso's Way he tried to be a lil more introspective on "Stay" but he's still is a bit of a mystery man, and it's a double edged sword.

The class of 98 was the last class of LEGIT NY rappers coming out at once, as it stands today, Fab has quietly had the BEST career of the entire group, he's the most relevant today, and he's holdin the crown for the city.

Young OG Project was VERY good too. He made a modern day NY album that doesn't sound dated or begging for acceptance and it's still dope and not forced one bit. Since the first 'Soul Tape' in 2011 Fab has consistently made GREAT music and held NY down.

He should get serious top 20-25 consideration

Because he consistently underachieved on his albums . But the singles and mixtapes have held up .

Fab is trash now. He makes music for thots & young bouls. Dude shoulda been so much better than he actually is

Fab gets way too much hate on NT. Lol

Hes actually better song wise and lyrically now then he's been his entire career.

Hes been the most consistent out of NY over the past 3 years with the Soul Tape series , Young OG and the Friday Night freestyles.

People who say he's wack right now, don't actually listen to all his latest stuff.

Soul Tape 2 >

he needed to make more music like this, he had so much potential IMO. we all know he can rap his *** off but is that all we want to hear all of the time? i like to listen to dope records, storytelling and some conten behind it.

Even though he has some of worst opinions I've ever had the displeasure of reading. I agree with him on him being underrated having to do with fans not really knowing Fab. Like he has no real presence. Unless he drops something new I forget he even exists. Fans like to feel a connection with their favorite artists, pause. And Fab definitely doesn't have that.

TINC is a top 10 mixtape of all time tho

Best tape since trap or die, then it's return or 4eva everybody knows that

All of this.

Ever since "Real Talk", his albums have stunk. He needs someone to executive produce his project. Like a Jay, or a Nas. A premo, or Diddy.

Fab is rated exactly how he should be. Could outrap a lot of rappers but never had a classic album. He is great on mixtapes and features, I feel like he is more concerned with showing of his sneakers and jerseys on ig and trying to bring the 90s era back.

I don't know, but I honestly gave up hope on dude after TNIC2, and the Soul Tape. TNIC3 and Soul Tape 2 were just
mean.gif

It's more difficult to rank rappers nowadays when albums are far less important than they used to be. If we are rating Fabolous on official albums, his career has been disappointing. I quite like Street Dreams but the rest are forgettable.

Yet I think we need to add mixtapes, freestyles and guest appearances into the equation and if we do, Fab has to have one of the strongest discographies, certainly since 2000.

Cause fab is dry and he just rap , he never had a outbreak throughout the rap game that grab the consumers attention .. If he went at the whole rap game with aggressive bars ... Then yeah .. But fab is not that type of rapper and its wayyyy too late

Only ppl I know that listen to fab are Spanish broads & apparently NTers.

Dude is corny & always been. JD said years ago in the source I think that Fab wouldn't have a career bc he didn't have **** to rap about. Sums it up completely.
