Why would anyone, ever, watch First Take? That show is for complete idiots. Skip Bayless and SAS, c'mon. I wouldn't watch that bull **** if you paid me to.

But you just criticized SAS as if his stance on the matter meant something

Lakers had 3 superstars already on the roster in the 80's. And great role players. What do you need a Superstar FA for?

Now let's say if Magic wasn't forced to retire. I sure dudes woulda been lining up to play with him in the 90's.

So you're saying, that NO Superstar, every, signed up to play with Magic?

OK, second question, please name me ANY Superstar, ever, to sign up to play with the super great teammate, Larry Bird. Any name, just name one. Anybody.

Bird's teams were stacked too  And dudes wasn't jumping from team to team back then.

It's been gang of good/great FA's over the last few years. Name me one that has joined this mess we got. ONE. Ain't nobody coming to the Lakers til the roster improves through the draft and changes in the front office are made.

When analytics support CP's argument: "Dude, he lead the league in blah, blah, blah and blah, blah, blah. But you saw him have a bad game, so he sucks? K.

"

When analytics don't help: "I said POTENTIAL. His ceiling is limitless."

When 'It was different back then' fits CP's argument: "Dude, no. It was different back then."

When it doesn't help his argument: "Please, name me one superstar to sign with the great Magic."

I know right? Like when someone points out that no one signed with the Lakers, ya know, when they had no cap space to sign anyone, and they ignore that, and try to ride with "no one wants to play with Kobe....."

Well, I guess no one wanted to play with Magic or Bird either, right? Cap space be damned, league rules be damned, History books tell us, right?

Am. I. Right?

And what, cuz Stephen A backtracked that means everything is all good.

Until I hear players around the league say they're cool with DLo it's a bad situation. His peers is what matters.

SAS is backing off HIS initial opinion. HIS hot takes.

My take hasn't changed, I didn't stand on my soapbox and scream like a lot of idiots did without any details. SAS is just the first to apologize for his initial statements.
You say this with the dated value that refusing to admit being wrong is honorable or something.

SAS admitted he was wrong. Straight up said "I" and "was" and "WRONG."

Props.

And not your sarcastic, "Oh, I was wrong. Thought Kobe had 4 assists. He had 3. My bad. Guess he really doesn't ever pass. Only 3 assists in 26 minutes. Ballhog. You're right. My bad."

I mean he was on the side of he's done forever.

Eh he walked that back yesterday after D'Lo apologized and looked and sounded genuine in doing so.

I still don't know what his tweet today has to do with him not being trusted by his peers, that very well could be the case. And it also doesn't say anything about the way D'Lo went about getting Nick to tell on himself unbeknownst to him that he was being recorded.

It's the whole he'll be forgiven, but this will not be forgotten ever. And since he doesn't really have any on court acumen yet to push it down the ledger this is going to be an anchor for him.

And a few days ago dudes was saying "this is a non story" " Nobody cares"

His own teammates ain't wanna be around him and it turned into a huge mess. Now it's good that his teammates are now supporting him. DLo has handled it good but the damage is done and it's gonna take time to heel.

His own teammates didn't want to be around him? Said, who? A source?

Cuz sure seemed like that night they was fine with him, no?

A source, said they didn't want to sit next to him to eat, and a few hours later they balled with him no prob. Then publicly supported him.

A source is the most trusted word on the planet these days.

Like they did Kobe back in the day? Ball with him on court, distance themselves off it? Is it really THAT hard to fathom. It's a workplace and a job, just because I have to work with somebody doesn't mean I have to be cool with them after work. Teamwork is needed to complete the task at hand. D'Lo himself said it had been "bad vibes" the whole week.

Here's the thing, it leaked. World saw. His "peers" all jumped up and shouted RAT!!!! Without knowing anything. Just straight up, RAT. You and alot of the others in here did the same.

Now, it's sounding like it might have been just what DLo claims, a prank gone wrong, he and his boy foolin around, somehow DLo was dumb enough to let it get out, either hacked, stolen, or sent to someone else outside the group. We don't know, yet.

So, his peers, all rushing to conclusions, without having any answers, could all look real stupid if DLo is proven to have simply made the mistake of not protecting his phone/Ipad whatever better, right?

He didn't RAT on NY, or do anything malicious, he simply screwed up not deleting that recording asap, soon as he joked with Nick about doing so. (3 months ago no less)

You and I both know Kobe wasn't friends with anybody back then. DLo is friends with these guys. He and Clarkson/Randle are already tight, Nance seems to like him, Hibbert too. Hell, Nick liked him a lot as of about 3-4 days ago.

Kobe was an a hole and didn't care who rocked with him. DLo will work to fix it with his people. He does care. And what he did this week, facing it head on is a testament to that.

Yes, the loudest idiots screaming, back his stance up 2 days later. HIS voice, his word, his opinion, not mine.
Again show me where players backtracked from there stance....oh wait you won't find any idc what reporters and fans think

He screwed up recording it in the first placewithout Nick's knowledge before hand. That's where a lot of the venom is coming from in addition to the subject matter.

I doubt his peers will change their tune if it gets out that he was hacked, it doesn't matter how it got out. Just that it was done in the first place and the way it was done.

He violated the sanctity of the locker room/road-team culture. That's what matters to the athletes that have to deal with stuff on a daily basis.

Jordan Clarkson (who's very close w/both Nick & D-Lo): "D’Angelo handled it the right way, looked us all in the eyes as men and apologized.”

He literally told Nick Young at the end of the video he was recording the god damn thing.

This..Horry and Pretty Ricky have both stated there was team Shaq and team Kobe in the 3peat locker room but on court it was business and rings..Also both said KB24 didn't really hang with anyone off court it was all ball all the time for him..

Yea I know Kobe was an *******,that wasn't the point. The point was that you can't draw conclusions as to how relationships or the locker room is based on what happens on the court. Most pro athletes are able to separate business from personal in that fashion.

I'm sure he's going to try his damnest to salvage or rebuild the friendships he has/had; that doesn't mean that said persons will be receptive after this or mess with him in any other capacity other than on the court.

Yes he did. Let me ask you this, if he would have revealed before his line of questioning that this is being recorded, do you think Nick would have revealed all he did? It literally was a "gotcha" moment.

I been getting these jokes off but i feel bad for the kid honestly. I dont thibk his intent was to intentionally jam nick up

There is no excuse to be made for him tho. So yall should stop reaching to look for an out for him
