Legitimately think if you replace Byron with an Average Coach.. And replace Kobe with a decent SF.. With this team, this year. They'd be pretty much where the Timberwolves are, record wise.

That's 9 wins. That's how detrimental they both are. And I think it is an underselling it by a few games.

Agree. Byrons atrocious lineups to start the season put us in a huge hole. Couple that with kobes horrendous shooting, shot volume, and defense and we never could recover

This team has the 2nd worst roster in the league, they're right where they should be.

The team under performed.

And at the top of the reason and a majority of the reason why is Byron & Kobe.

To say that they did not cost the team a good amount of games over the course of the season at best shows a willful ignorance of the impact they had on the team.

It's saying that Byron & Kobe are a HUGE reason this team is 16-62 and not at least a handful of games better at the very least.

we are not any better without kobe

these players are either just kids or pure trash

You have to replace Kobe at SF.

Let's say Kobe retired after last year. You'd need to replace him.

Let's say it was Al Farouq Aminu instead of Kobe. The team would have been over 4 wins better with Aminu over Kobe. Even Wesley Johnson is a 3 win replacement over Kobe this season.

The impact of Kobe pounding the ball, and taking shot after shot, and being the worst shooter in the league this season, you're saying we'd be no better without Kobe? Come on.

Kids or not. You have the worst shooter in the league taking the most shots. And has a higher usage by 6.9 over the next player. That is detrimental to offense, defense, and costs teams wins.

This.

If we do indeed end up landing a top 3 pick then Byron and Kobe should win COY and MVP

We're officially locked in for 2nd worst record. Now time to root for the wins!!!!!

the only competent coaching presence we have this season is more valuable than whatever no name SF we would have gotten

these guys are just flat out not good at basketball, having them shoot over kobe is not going to help. throughout the season kobe has been the only player to show any desire to play defense

kobe has been trash this year, but these guys are a whole nother level of terrible.

So I was watching the Laker channel last night and they were saying next Wednesday on Kobe's last game that LA Live area the area right across the street from Staples Center will be dedicated to Kobe with a bunch of events, a huge wall for people to sign and say goodbye to Kobe and a chance to win tickets to the game. It's all suppose to start at 12PM and end at 4PM.

I'm thinking about leaving early from work fhat day and making the 2 hour drive up.Only things that suck is traffic in LA, parking anywhere in DTLA near & around Staples Center sucks and is expensive.

I have my ticket to the game but I'm going to get there very early. I'll spring the 25 bucks to park at the convention center. There is a back exit that gets you right to the 110 freeway.

You in SD? Me too bro. I may drive up the night before but if I have to go to this class, I'm dipping around 12pm to get up there.

Is that yours?!?!?!?!? :wow:

Yes. Ordered it Midnight on Tuesday; got here Thursday afternoon. FedEx International Priority :pimp: Dropped it off to have it framed last night. They had the gold swingman and a signed ball going for roughly the same price at the NBA Store here.

Was a real shame I couldn't attend a game. Would've attended the recent Heat game, but couldn't work it out. Oh well. Would've gotten decent seats for the money... I'll just have this to look at in my room instead. That gold authentic proved difficult to pick up :x

I didn't know you were stationed back down here in SD again. Where you stationed at 32nd street or North Island on Coronado ?

I remember one of the cheaper lots back in the days use to be a parking garage down on Jame Woods Blvd, which was like $8 or $10 and not to bad of a walk down Figueroa to Staples.

I'm not going to go the game. I've seen a few people on LG were selling their 1 ticket for the game for $1200 for a 200 level seat another dude is selling his 1 ticket in Section 108 and Kobe's farewell retirement letter that they gave out at Staples a few months ago the night he announced his retirement.

Hit me up on PM and maybe we can meet up somewhere like Buffalo Wild Wings or the Tilted Kilt to watch a Laker game.
