And some of you wanted Jeanie to run the team.

Lets wait and see how this summer off season unfolds.

If the Lakers don't get any superstars or young upcoming players like Hassan Whiteside in free agency this summer.

I bet some people in here will find a way to not blame Jim Buss or Mitch.

Kobe 2002 Finals : 26.8/5.8/5.3/1.5 on .514/.545/.806

Kobe 2002-03 Season: 30.0/6.9/5.9/2.2 on .451/.383/.843
Kobe 2005-06 Season: 35.4/5.3/4.5/1.8 on .450/.347/.850
Kobe 2006-07 Season: 31.6/5.7/5.4/1.4 on .463/.344/.868
Kobe 2012-13 Season: 27.3/5.6/6.0/1.4 on .463/.324/.839

He didn't win an MVP on any of these...

The 2002 Finals, Shaq had bigger numbers.. BUT just illustrating how crazy the Lakers were because what Kobe put up in that finals wins in just about every other year.

Think the first 3 season MVPs he had just as good of a season as the # 1 guy. Especially 2002-2003. Think he got a little bit of media backlash in the few years after the rape trial. 2012-13, he did not have the best season. LeBron did. But if we go by best season, in conjunction with who is the MOST VALUABLE to their team. Kobe is right there neck and neck. Chris Paul & Melo ahead of Kobe in the voting is blasphemy. I'm fine with Kobe not winning in 2012-13, but 5th?!?!?

You're right, Jim is doing an exceptional job.

Oh dear god

Like one 0/8 leader is better than another 0/8 leader...

What's the different between bro and sis exactly?

We're lucking into even having a future with these picks. If not for the lottery we'd be asset-less and doomed for 2 decades.

The whole entire buss family is praying and hoping for a lottery ball to fall their way this summer to save them from even more embarrassment.

Luck, is what we depend on now.
Not smarts.

At this point I could care less if Byron comes back. But if we get a big free agent, I'm sure they will want him gone. I think it's early to believe nonsese like this anyway. Hell everh report last year said we had LMA, then we didn't, then we had a second meeting..who knows...

He went all in on Nash & Dwight... It was the right move.... It backfired tremendously, if you want to give what we do have to luck. Then you have to factor in Nash getting injured in game 2 and never recovering, Dwight never fully recovering from offseason surgery and then tearing his labrum, Pau being on and off and foot problems, and then Kobe tears his Achilles into a tremendous unlucky streak.

Also our buddy Jimmy Buss & Mitch brought us 3 straight finals appearances and 2 championships.

We draft well, and we do well signing smaller pieces.. The problem is we haven't been able to reel in the big fish

Byron comes back and Jeanie brings back Phil and I'll have just stop worrying about the future for this team altogether.

Im gonna miss Bean so much
I remember when my grandma came home and surprised me with the black Crazy 8's when I was a kid. Crazy to think this is it

As much as I want to I refuse to head into the city right now. I've heard it's been a zoo down there since 1. I think I'll experience this moment in front of a tv tonight
