Philly, Portland and maybe the Knicks. Y'all drastically overrating the "talent" on this team.

This team will suck.
I hope they prove me wrong. If not, at least we'll get some decent highlights.

Even though it's obvious to everyone...It saddens me to admit this...

But it's time for Kobe to hang em up :frown:

It's a wrap man :\

I feel you.

Hell I struggle with the **** daily. I go hoop now, trying to keep up with the young kids on base and it takes about 2 days to recover...smh

Hate to see him go but it has been ONE HELL of a career.

Making sure I have tickets to the last game this year....

Teams I think we will end up with a better record than.... Least to most confident.

Knicks, Pacers, Pistons (things have to go really wrong for these 3 teams, but there's a slight possibility).

Timberwolves (Yeah yeah Wiggins & KAT. I know. Rubio, Kevin Martin, Pekovic are walking injuries. Garnett really provides nothing. Andre Miller is laughable, and with Rubio likely ends up starting a good portion of games.

Nets (Something very unlikeable about that team. Love Thad Young though. Jack regressed badly last year. No DWill, not sure that matters, but still.... 38 wins last year, didn't / couldn't improve, think they went backwards).

Magic (a fun team, but that's really about it. Don't see anybody making drastic improvements. Defense & who can truly shoot is a problem)

Mavericks (They were able to salvage themselves a bit with DeAndre giving the cold shoulder. But nothing about that team screams anything significant, especially when you look at their 5 backups... Felton, Devin Harris, J. Anderson, Villanueva & Dalembert) :x

Nuggets (Lawson for Mudiay first year will be a big drop, considering he can't shoot. Also they are a Chandler or Gallinari injury away from Mike Miller playing 20+ mpg)

Trail Blazers (absolute putrid brand of basketball they will throw out there).

76ers (a given)

This is tough;

Sixers - Okafor and Noel are beastly, although the fit isn't great. The perimeter players are lacking and the defense will regress if Okafor plays heavy minutes. 15-18 wins.

Blazers - They should be respectable offensively, provided Lillard is healthy (stealth candidate for league leader in scoring?), but the defense will likely be a debacle. 18-23 wins.

T'Wolves - Half the team will spend their time in the hospital due to old age and injuries while the other half of the team is just too young to win games. 20-25 wins.

Nuggets - Maybe Malone can coach the team up to be a cohesive bunch unlike last year under Shaw. Decent depth, but will experience growing pains with Mudiay. 23-28 wins.

Magic - Team didn't have an identity, but I think they do now with Skiles. Historically he's improved his teams defensively overnight, but I'm unsure he'll be able to do it this roster. 23-28 wins.

Lakers - Best case scenario they win about 30 games, 27 is the realistic outcome and 23 is the worst case scenario. 23 wins still could mean giving away the lottery pick.

35 Wins with everybody healthy and Thibodeau the head coach after the 10th game.

^ So 0-10 then Thibbs goes 37-35?

Not bad. I could dig it. Decent platform to build from, imo.

I'm so confused as to what you all were expecting to see for a 1st preseason game
I see nobody has changed. It is literally a new roster. Like 95% of the roster is new. Our best players are rookies....
1 preseason game and we are already burning the house down?! My Gawsh
I can understand keeping your stance of sub 20 wins for a legit reason but not after 1 preseason game lol.

Man I hope it's not a long season filled with naysaying negativity for W's....I thought everyone in here was excited to see the young core grow not crying about wins.
We all knew what this was. Now let's enjoy the year cuz playoffs was never in the picture unless the Lord himself shines on us.

It was obvious that their legs were heavy. Led in the 1st half. Lost in the 2nd. Typical. Transition defense. Terrible. But expected. We actually have talent it should be fun seeing the success and failures of the young (not nick tho).
30-35 wins this year.

He probably isn't go to make it that long, just being realistic.

Nobody really changed their minds based on the one preseason game though. Everyone who thought mid-20s wins probably thought so before last night too

The makeup of this roster is legitimately bad. I'm not rooting for losses; more like anticipating and accepting them.

There were a lot of good things to take away from yesterday's game if you know what to look for. I feel like the biggest weaknesses and the reasons we lost so many games were interior defense and 3 point shooting. The team has more 3 point shooters, took way more 3s than what was normal last year, and you can already see hibbert's impact on d and he even was great on the boards. The team still isn't good yet but when you address your biggest flaws there's bound to be improvement and we should at least be competitive this season

This is an very different roster though. They may have improved in areas that were weak last year, but it's not a given that they stayed the same in others.

IMO they are worse in a few areas, plus there's going to be a learning curve for both the rookies (in the NBA) and Byron (with the new roster).
