Legitimately think if you replace Byron with an Average Coach.. And replace Kobe with a decent SF.. With this team, this year. They'd be pretty much where the Timberwolves are, record wise.

That's 9 wins. That's how detrimental they both are. And I think it is an underselling it by a few games.

I do agree with this but at the same time you could say the same thing about the wolves. They are just a hair ahead of us in the rebuild but I think/hope we should have the edge in free agency and the draft.

tupac003 tupac003 I'll be in the building 4/13. Probably don't remember this, but we met at the Jay-Z American Gangster show at HOB Sunset back in the day! I'm the cat that ended up with the bottle of Ace of Spades.

Anyone else going to the game lets get a mini summit going! Happy, excited and sad at the same damn time for this one.

I wanted to but 300 section going for $800 :x

I'm planning a trip in June for my dirty thirty ( 8) ) or else I would've been in the building.

Still trying to figure out where I should watch the game.

I agree they are ahead of us. Kat & Wiggins > Russell and Randle by more than Clarkson is better than LaVine, which I think all comes down to preference really. I'd take Clarkson. So of course they are ahead of us.

But Sam Mitchell isn't screwing with minutes, and putting guys down.

He's a **** coach, but he isn't throwing guys under the bus, and randomly taking guys out or benching them for no reason.

So yeah, Sam Mitchell for an average coach would add a few wins.

Again though, we don't know how our guys play with a coach who is not a **** head

Byron Scott for an average coach adds more than that.

Russell & Clarkson went 19-31

For Kobe to get 19 makes, he'd have to take 71 shots tonight at this pace.

He played 10 less minutes than Russell, 12 less than Clarkson and he got as many shots as Clarkson & 1 less than Russell

That's how he hurts the team.

And they still got washed by a sorry squad. Kids are just not that good to be competitive yet. Only 3 more games of the Kobe excuse train left though.

Bro I still remember that night. Salty as hell that I gave that bottle away. :smh:

But somebody bought 2 bottles for me for my wedding. :smokin

Where you sitting bro? I'm in PR10 row 1. I'm getting there early. There is supposed to be something going on at LA live pre game so anybody else that is going we can hook up there.

I'm going to be watching the game at my house so I can shed tears

LOL I don't give a damn...I know I will be in tears at staples. Not 1 damn will be given. I have been watching Kobe since I was a FRESHMAN in high school. That's kinda when you really get into sports. I'm just glad I wasn't deployed to miss something like this...

@MR J 858 Back on north island bro. Next season it's on bro. Def hit up the kilt to watch a game with you.

I don't have time tonight.

I'm in section 208. Took the whole damn day off so I'll be out that way early.

I'll hit you next week to coordinate

I just find it funny to pick out a game like tonight when they finally have a decent shooting night together for the first time in about a month, to hammer home a point. When in the previous 3 games combined Clarkson went 15-44 and D'Lo went 13-44.

Kobe excuse train

Come on.... It's just basic understanding of basketball

He's getting the most touches, most usage & most shots on the team. With the level of performance he has this year. That's detrimental. It's not Kobe whose shooting .45/.33/.84 getting to the line 8-10 times, leading SGs in assists with superb defense. It's .35/.29 Kobe who is averaging same amount of shots as points, and a traffic cone.

Hell even compared to last year Kobe he is half the player from that, and that wasn't particularly good either. But at least last year though, we could wonder if there was someone who could get/take the shots and have a different outcome.

Just for reference...

Without Kobe team is 4-12
When Kobe shoots 10 or less/doesn't play: 6-18
Kobe 11 or more shots 10-45

Based on win %, if the 24 games without Kobe or limited Kobe, extrapolated to 82 games.... It equals 27 wins.

If Kobe took 11 or more shots for 82 games, equals 15 wins.

We're at 16 for the season..

What is being said that if
1. Kobe was replaced with Generic Okay SF
-or-
2. Kobe is muted in the offense, and is the 4th option. As he should be.

That this team does not pick up a few extra wins?

You're telling me that if Option 1 or Option 2 happens, the team doesn't go from 16 wins to 19 wins. At the least?

Then you move to Byron, and how **** Byron has been as a coach.... And see how many games that costs a team from Generic Average NBA coach

Interesting Comparison that I got through @TheAmaroTrader on twitter when comparing Randle to elite rebounding big men who had a bad shooting Rookie Year.

DeMarcus Cousin's Rookie Season to Julius Randle's "Rookie Season"

Apples to Oranges players... But it's encouraging in terms of hypothesizing that he can really grow offensively.
