I'm riding with DLo, not siding with his actions

But I want the boy to embrace this **** and explode on the court and take this Lakers team for himself

It's da only way b

Is it true Warriors' gear and jerseys have taken over socal? |I

No explanations needed, it was a dumb move on his part but D'Lo will learn and recover from this.

This is the type of obliviousness the Miami Heat welcome when it comes to center Hassan Whiteside.

With the Heat opening their three-game western swing Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center, Whiteside was asked about the rumors linking him to the Lakers and their $55 million salary-cap stash in free agency with the impending retirement of Kobe Bryant.

"They've been talking about me and the Lakers?" Whiteside asked in response. "I didn't know that."
"I worked out for the Lakers before I worked out with the Heat," he said, having joined the Heat early in 2014-15 on the contract he now is completing. "So, I mean, they've seen it. They had a chance to see what I could do."
"I know Byron Scott was there and a couple of other front-office guys," he said of his Lakers tryout. "It was like a two-on-two workout. I did it before I worked out for the Heat. Obviously, they went another direction."
"But I think L.A. knows what I can do."

The Lakers wound up going smaller, so Whiteside moved on to his next opportunity.

"I think they signed Wayne Ellington instead," he said of the 3-point-shooting wing now with the Brooklyn Nets. "I thought I had a really good workout. I caught alley oops, spin lobs, kind of did everything I do now."

It goes against my basketball principles, but I think Whiteside needs to be option A this summer.

Y'all need to stand up for yourselves. Don't let others bully or influence your posting choices.

If they call you a clown? Call them a clown back.
If they insult you? Insult them back.

Let them nuts hang. This thread is yours, not theirs.

Fight for your right to post!
I got mind control over CP. He be like "shut the hell up." I be quiet. But when he leave, I be talking again.

Watching this video man.

Heck even though that Laker team sucked, had scrubs and was taking 1st round exits. That season 2005-2006 was still fun to watch because of Kobe in his prime averaging 35 points per game, Kobe going for 63 in 3 quarters against the mavs, the 81 point game :pimp:

Nowadays though with the current Laker team it's just so hard and unbearble to watch this team :rolleyes :smh:

Also losing Spero Dedes calling the Lakers radio broadcast with Mychal Thompson sucked and was a mistake by the Lakers. The story I heard was that he was being groomed to be the main play by play call and the Lakers wanted him to do the simul cast like how Chick did it before back in the day. Spero wanted the job also, but the problem was the Lakers wanted him committed 100% to only calling Laker games, but Spero still wanted to do his other gigs where he calls NFL games during the regular season and does March Madness games when the tourney is going on.

Just listen to him call Kobe's game winner against the Suns in the 2006 1st round playoffs. :wow:

It's at the 3:32 mark on the video.

He strikes me as the type to make a quick decision, considering he hasn't made a lot of money in his career.

Durant, Horford and the other notable free agents will be taking longer to decide because they're further into their careers.

Whiteside isn't signing here this summer.

Trust me when I say slick Pat Riley won't let him leave the Heat and will pay him.

It will be difficult, but if anyone can pull it off it's Riles.

Edit:

But Riles will be chasing the big fish this summer, so if the Lakers offer Whiteside early they may be able to steal him.

Off topic, does anyone know where I can find footage of the American Express Teamed Up event from last night with Kobe, Horry, Fox?

And who gets invited to these events? I have an Amex card and I'm a season ticket holder and never heard of this event

Thanks
