Trade away MULTIPLE assets for Jimmy Butler rather than signing Demar and keeping those players?

That's a plan LTB? You would support that move?

You wouldn't trade Clarkson and the 3rd pick for Jimmy Butler man?

You Foreals dawg?

Who the hell you want, Buddy instead?

And I swear you're trolling if that's all you got out of my post. At least Kal read and understood the main point.

First, why the blue **** would the Bulls take ONLY Clarkson + 3?

Second, no, I would not make that trade.

Third, no to Buddy, Bender, Brown, Dunn all worth looking into just fine.

Fourth, not worried about the rest of your post, I addressed the part I needed clarification on.

Fifth, giving away multiple pieces to get a guy negligibly better than one we can sign outright is bad business 101.

So you wouldn't trade the 3rd pick at all?

CP I was with you until you said negligibly better than someone we can sign outright...whom is it that you speak of??? I hope you wasn't talking about DD bruh..

If we end up 3rd, I'm desperately trying to package that for an established (preferably defensive) player.
Thank you.

Glad someone else gets it (agrees with me).
'S all it is.

Some people have 12, others have a dozen.

I thought it was clear by "getting it" I was referring to understanding/agreeing with what I said in the previous post?...

I didn't mean "get it" like big picture common sense rocket science stuff, just...
My post, the one I had just posted

Am I missing something? *scratching head*

It would have to overwhelm me.

I'd deal it for WCS. I'd move it for Boomer. But neither are likely.

Might even talk me into Noel.

But JC + 3 for Butler is not a thing. Might as well discuss would I trade JC and 3 for Anthony Davis and a future 1st.

Keep the picks, and buy talent with space. I'd also absorb talent with that space if it netted more picks going forward.

Someday, the switch flips. We have X numbers of young guys + X number of vet FA buys to where we're "lurking" again, then, THEN we switch from save/keep/protect picks at all costs to flipping them to add another piece.

IE

DLo/#32
DeRozan/Clarkson
Batum/Ingram/Brown
Randle/Nance
Whiteside/Black

Cheap youth + vet buys.

Then, midyear or 2017-18, offer 2019/2021/2023 picks for __ disgruntled star.

Suddenly, that core grows.

Look familiar?

Fish/Farmar/Critt
Kobe/Sasha
Ariza/Walton
LO/Turiaf
Bynum/Kwame

Deal 2008/2010/2012 picks + Critt + Kwame for Pau. Boooooom. Roster jumps off the page.

Same ideal. Only deeper core than 2-3 really nice pieces.

Been my goal since the minute Dwight said Houston.

Tank + rebuild = goal/plan.

Do it Mitch (and Jim). :smokin

Damn it, I read some people have 12, others have a dozen and couldn't figure out what it meant.  :smh: DOH!!!

Jimmy isn't better than Demar + JC + Top 3 pick + (the more it would cost to actually make that trade)

Sorry, but no.

Hopefully Jerry West is in position to gift us a star again.

And it's funny how #3 + whatever is a no, yet Derozan, Batum and Whiteside is a possibility. That's just as much if not more of a pipe dream.

Probably not. I literally just jumped in, scrolled through very quickly, saw your post, responded.

Entirely possible I missed something contextual.

We still discussing how we're going to be less sucktastic next year?

If you need fallback options, how about Ben Simmons, then sign Harrison Barnes (hope GSW doesn't pay him) and throw the farm at Horford?

Or like I mentioned last night, sign Mike Conley, draft Bender (#3), pay heavy for Batum and maybe give Ryan Anderson a call.

Of course, the dream's dream. Durant + Horford + Simmons + Thibbs.

Multiple scenarios out there besides the one I've mentioned. Lot of options.

First up, land the pick.

?????

They are FREE agents, being offered 20 mil each. Likely? No. Possible? Yes.

You can't trade 90 million Butler for JC + 3. Legally.

Not, possible.

So, how are they the same pipe dream?

Don't you kiiiiiiiiiiinda wanna wait til he locks up another pick for us, just to be safe?

I fear we fire him and drop to #4.

He helped the Cavs, he helped us, he's kind of a lottery magnet, ya know?

After we get Top 3, then fire him. :pimp:

I fear they allow him to coach another year.

In which case I'd consider commiting arson on the lakers practice facilities.

*not really*

You can't trade a player making more to a team that ha 60+ mil available in cap space? News to me.

Or are you saying cause Clarkson is a RFA he can't be traded? I believe they can draft for the Bulls at #3 and then sign and trade Clarkson with said player no?

You may be right then. Maybe it is legal in that case.

We just need the Bulls to accept JC + #3 then. I doubt that would be the best offer the Bulls would see.

How much will Barnes cost?

He's averaging 11 and 5 on 30 minutes.
If he's a startee and more of a focal point could he be a 20 ppg scorer?

If my amateur math is correct, the most a non-Warriors team can offer is 4 years-$92M. That's assuming there is a $92M cap next year.
