HYPOTHETICALLY

If we could manage to get Derozan and whiteside for $40-45/year million combined... How could anyone be against that

Whiteside
Randle
Ingram
DeRozan
DLo
Clarkson
Nance
#32
Brown
Black

All under the age of 27 and still cap space to play with.

I'd be down.

He's a 26 year old All Star as y'all made abundantly clear a few weeks ago. Who ever in that scenario has been offered 5 million less a year than they're eligible for?

And again reports have already said the Lakers are willing to offer him a max deal.

Whiteside, Batum, and Horford all are need positions therefore would be justified in getting their max deal offers from us. No need for Conley with D'Lo given his age and position. And no need for Derozan unless we're yearning for the glory years of washed Kobe.

Reports have also said Durant won't sign with Wizards, Thunder, Lakers, Warriors

Reports.

They're bull ****. You & me could start a report right now that could gain steam across the internet.

You do have a point on the 26 year old All Star angle, that is true, just not sure if he's the market for 25. Pincus brought it up this morning too, max is a cap to prevent 40-60 a year contracts for Bron, Durant types, not just a number everyone gets.

Every team would hit max of 25 for KD.
I don't think they will for DD, so his price may adjust. Maybe I'm wrong and the Knicks do throw 25 at him, but I suspect it'll be under. Rather than 4/100 more like 4/80 or even 4/90. We'll see in 2 months.

Uhh, he's been listed as a SG his entire career, made the all star team as a backcourt player the last two years. Was the 2 guard today worth Carroll starting, but hey if he's a SF just adds credence to the washed Kobe comparison. 10-32 today :pimp:

Tim Duncan was listed as a Power Forward for a while, when he was no longer one as well.

2015-16:
47% - SG
22% - SF

2014-15:
6% - SG
45% - SF

Hence he has flexed more in the past few years, than he did in his first few.

Depends on who is on the team.

The whole Raptors team is a mishmash.

Not sure where those % came from but just looking at basketball reference all I see is SG.

With Duncan they have PF (from 98-06) and C (06-current except 15). Shrugs.

82games.com

Where they actually list the lineups they play in as well, and how many minutes.

It's based on total minutes of that position on 82 games.

Even if you took Basketball Reference. Last 2 years have been 2/3 SG, 1/3 SF. 2013-14 19% SG, 78% SF

Idk man on 82games in 13-14 it has him at SG 106% of the minutes. Anyway, I don't want him as a part time SF, full time SG, here, there or anywhere close to my squad.

Yoooo, good lookin out, are those both the same book just different cover?

Yeah it looks they are.

We got plenty of time to pre order them. The pre order price is good until 10-26-16 and it does not ship until 10-28-16

Vogel's a really, really good defensive coach. Hiring him to be Luke's Ron Adams in LA would be super cool.

Indiana's defenses under Vogel:
11-12: 9th
12-13: 1st
13-14: 1st
14-15: 7th
15-16: 3rd

Hoping Indiana is dumb enough to let Vogel go. Would be insanely dope to have him here as an assistant.

(I know I know, it's highly unlikely. Cats will be fighting over him for Head coaching gigs. Just let me dream :rolleyes )

Pay him like a Head Coach... If Luke was up for it, pay him good money.

And give him a friendly deal to get out after a couple of years, to re-explore his options.

It's one thing the Lakers can control.

Coaching, Training Staff, Training Facilities, etc.

They have money out the ***. No reason to not splurge on the best you can get.

Spend money on stuff you can control. Improves product on floor = More money

Yessir, on the same page with you here.
I don't have an issue with the Lakers spending on coaching or any non-salary cap related needs. If it's not effecting the salary cap and these billionaires still profiting then why does it matter if they wanna over spend? Have at it.

Offer Vogel the same contract as Luke honestly. Who cares.

Like you said, pay for the things you can control and get the best minds in that locker room to get this team playing high quality basketball.

Of course it sounds great to you guys to just pay vogel to be our assistant, but literally just look at it from his side. He's gonna have every team with a vacant HC position on him (per woj if he doesn't re-sign) why the eff would he take a demotion and probably pay cut to come be an assistant to a HC that's younger than him

Should be the other way around. Vogel the HC and Luke the assistant.
