Doubt it happens because his contract is good value with the cap exploding.

But I wish they'd see Lou Williams as a duplicate piece, and say the best chance of building a winning team would be to move Clarkson to the bench, and create a more dynamic rotation, and give him a bit more freedom. Which would leave Lou as the odd man out.

I.e. Lou Williams & # 32 for a piece that fits better off the bench.

Not saying Clarkson isn't capable of starting. Think his game would work better as Super 6th, which would give him time to run an offense as well.

No to Derozan.

We already have a over paId volume shooter from USC on the team that nobody else in the league wants in...
Nick Young

Just look at USC's history of terrible trash:

Nick Young
OJ Mayo
Derozan
Harold Miner

:x

:smh:

Chance of Nick Young being on the team next year is very slim.

Only way he's gone is if the Lakers release him and agree to eat the money left on his contract.

Nobody is willing to trade for him. His value is so low that a team wouldn't even give us a late 2nd round pick for him, and it's because of his contract and his well known bad rep and being a volume shooter.

Precisely.

That's cause USC is trash.

I can see Luke give swaggy a chance.

If he can replicate what he gave us under D'antoni that's more than serviceable.

KD and Russ are fun as hell to root for but right now I'm praying for them to get embarrassed the rest of the series by the Spurs.

Need them both to be motivated to leave

Why would Indy trade him though? Even if they want to blow up that team, PG and Turner are young core pieces

I don't see them trading the pick.

If it's Simmons, you would rather trade Randle.

If it's Ingram, he fits too well with the current core.

If it's Bender, he might be too much of an unknown to get anything back.

Keep the pick, draft one of those guys, get some free agents and let them develop or make a move near the deadline or next summer.

Even if Jim really is on the clock, there's plenty of time to improve the team.

I still don't know if I want Simmons Ingram I'm not ready to let Randle go...he deserves to start

I don't see them trading the pick because you'd pretty much have to give up Randle and Russell along with it. That's just too much. Plus I don't think they signed Luke to coach moody vets like cuz and butler. Both Jim and Jeannie all but shot down the idea that they have to go deep in the playoffs. It's all about steady progress.
