Just curious..

If you HAD to make a legit trade for PG what would you offer?

Anyone can answer.

I can't wait to read these......

You start!

please?!

Nah he wont, hes just gonna sit back and get ready to call anyone who responds to that a clown.

Oh. Well, shoot. This is awkward. I went first actually. Weird. I must be a clown then.

(I am)

Oh. PG has meaningful stats huh?

Yea he does, actually impacts the game. OKB has broken it down multiple times. And his usage in this postseason is right in line with what PG was as being the guy to carry the load all season in Indy.

Those numbers are as follows:

18/4/4 on 33% shooting on 20 shots a game with a PER of 9.9. Previous postseasons are similarly bad. And that's just offensively.

Just wanted to share some good news with my Laker brethern.

3 weeks ago, I was laid off from my job.
I was driving 60 miles each way, and was miserable.

Felt like hell, but I was miserable there and it was likely a blessing in disguise.

10 minutes ago, I received an offer letter from a place I interviewed last week. and what do you know? 13,000 raise from my previous job. and its only 20 miles away!!!!!

Everything happens for a Reason.

Life is Good.
:pimp:

This "let the young's grow" just isn't feasible.

Front office can't wait

**** most fans can't wait.

If the RIGHT trade is out there you consider it.

and PG is without question a STAR, a Top 10 player RIGHT NOW, and a pillar for the next 7-8 years.
If we're overrating the young guys, you might be overrating PG.

If the right deal comes then yea you pull the trigger, but 3 or 4 good young guy for PG ain't it.

I don't like DeRozan for this team either.

As far as trades go, I'd wait at least until after this year.

To do what trade for the same guys we talking about right now?

PG13

Boogie

Butler

These are the oly 3 dudes worth looking at IMO

PG is the best two way player in the league outside of Kawhi, and he doesn't have a system tailor made to get him good looks. He's not overrated at all.

Well first to find out what you have and a better idea of who you're willing to trade and who you want to keep.

I love PG's game. But not enough to give up 3 or 4 really good assets for. There are only a few players that are worth that to me, and he's not one of them.

Especially in here, sheesh.

You'd think we're talking about Brandon Rush the way everyones lashing out on us

Dudes actin like PG13 is Jeff Green or some ish...

Top 10 player

Good Attitude

Cali Kid

Would attract other FAs

26 In his Prime and getting better

GOAT Hairline

i just want to organically grow from the ground up :frown:

develop the young guys, add a piece here and there through FA. see what we can do with the squad and tweak it as we go.

is that too much to ask for?

This is exactly what's gonna happen. Don't even worry your pretty little head about it.

In 3-4 years when DLo, Ingram, Randle, Clarkson reach 22-23-24-25 years old, Bron will be 34-35. Dirk, Duncan, KG gone. Wade will be 35-36. Melo 35-36. Durant-Russ 32-33. CP3 will be 33+.

Our core will be ready to truly blossom and the elites will be Kawhi, AD, Kat+Wiggins, possibly the GS core still and I'm sure a couple others.

That's without us adding a single FA. Add a couple, we're even deeper, and more prepared.

This isn't about just winning one more in the next couple years.

This is exactly what I mean when I say I'm encouraged when our young guys play well against other young guys. Because those are their peers and who they'll be competing with for the rest of their careers.

They've got to do something to save their jobs, which is why I think all this smoke has a whiff of merit.

This is exactly why I said earlier that both jim and Jeannie have all but squashed the deadline. It's not about rushing to compete for the West finals in one offseason. That would be hasty and dumb. Forward progress, legit growth. That's it.

“We could have expedited the rebuild, but I have no regrets,” said Buss of the Lakers’ decision to pay Bryant. “We have a tradition here of taking care of our players.”

This is exactly what I thought. Nothing about the past two years was accidental. They weren't interested in building a treadmill team with so so free agents and no youth. The league forced their hand and said 'you have to tank like everyone else' and so they did.

This is okc with free agent appeal and without letting talent walk.

“Boston did a great job because they also got a young coach that got to grow with this guys,” said Buss of head coach Brad Stevens. “When you have a coach that can grow with you, that’s pretty nice.”

This is exactly the reason they signed Luke. A young coach to grow with a young core. Not to trade all their talent for a headcase like boogie or a diva like Butler and immediately put championship pressure on a young, unproven coach.

They didn't trade #2 Randle and Clarkson for boogie last year. It was the Lakers that backed away from the table saying the Kings were asking too much. They're not about to pull the trigger now for D'lo Randle and a top 3 pick. At most they may trade Clarkson mid season. But if he fulfills his potential as a shooter forget about it.

Guys will keep coming up with crazy scenarios but I'm positive the laker brass will stay the course and follow the reasonable, sensible, logical strategy.

They're not as dumb as you think

He is tho any Top 10 player is gon call for that many assets to be traded

When has Jeanie squashed the deadline, every time she's asked, she reiterates it. He and Mitch are outta here after this season and Phil comes in on his white house and cleans house anyway.

The days of us fleecing teams are over Dr. Buss is gone, no more Pau for Kwame swaps. We have no more friends in high places, going to have to play bby the same rules as everybody else.

Ok even if he is. Let's look at the last 4 times a star was traded for assets. D Will, Carmelo, Dwight and Chris Paul.

CP is the only successful trade, mainly because he forced his way out and had to go. And he's much better than PG, and Cousins for that matter.

It's just not a good way to build a team, unless a once in a lifetime deal comes around.

IF we lose the pick.....

I think we very well may strap up the tank for 1 more season (aka keep the youngins and don't sign anyone).... after that its nut-cutting time for everyone in the front office.

7 out of 9 of our posters so far dont want Derozan for 25 million/year.

Hmm........ Guess we're all delusional? :nerd:

Neither prospectives are wrong, some want guys who are proven and elite right now, and some are wlling to wait and see if we have that guy now, but I just hope they acknowledge that it's possible that none of these guys ever reach that level, that's all.

Just respect LTB's opinion on how he wants his team to improve, don't have to be condescending with your response. Nobody in here is more elite than anyone else, we all basically just shooting the ****.
No, the opinion, "They will not be anything in 10 years" is as wrong as ""They will all be legends."

"They COULD be nothing in 10 years" is correct.

"They will not be" is... wrong.

As in not right.

She skirted around the issue in her interview with cowherd. She wouldn't outright say the team has to win x games or make the second round or anything like that. All she said was "major improvement". She doesn't have the nuts to axe him if he doesn't step down imo. She pretty much said it's up to Jim and Jim is the one who said they need 8 rotational pieces. And then you see his latest interview where he's counting pieces one by one. They're not gonna rush this thing. Sure as hell not for paul george
