I'm not worried about closing.

Luke wants to install a GS style O. (Obviously not exact) but more modern than Byron.

Need talent for that.

Kawhi guards Clarkson, he ain't closing ****.
Green guards DLo, tough to close.

Have Demar? Maybe you got somethin.

Put Kawhi on Demar, then maybe Clarkson can get loose.

Add to that, Demar plays in an atrocious Casey offense. Maybe he'd flourish a bit in Luke's. Maybe spacing, and movement, and matchups would help accentuate his game a lil bit more. Open lanes for him, etc.

He works on his 3 ball a lil, even just marginally useful, maybe it helps open the O even more for the others.

If if was a fifth we'd all be drunk. No way no how on DeBumzan, if he wanted to play for free (which is as ridiculous as him giving up 30 million dollars) no, we good. Don't think his thumb was hurt last year when he was almost as atrocious in the playoffs.

Like I've said before, I'm not a fan of "He'll change."

Kobe.

4 airballs against Utah.

Same Kobe hundreds of other times in his career in that EXACT scenario, makes at least a couple of those, sometimes 3, sometimes all 4, and it's high fives all around. The player didn't CHANGE; he didn't stop shooting (lort knows he didn't stop shooting; 50 shots on his way out

). He didn't CHANGE; he IMPROVED so that some of those shots go down in the future. That has to do with HIS OWN work ethic, and had NOTHING to do with Phil coming in.

I se nothing in D.Roze that suggests he will improve. Coaching doesn't improve players; players improve themselves.

Steph was going to be great regardless of who drafted him; he's a champion because of what the team that drafted him did.

DeRozan has gotten better every year tho......?

Oh really?

Have you watched him in the playoffs or you too busy with Cubs games?

He's regressing in the playoffs every year, every game, every minute.

His coach benched him last night.
That's not getting better.

And don't gimme that thumb nonsense, we all know he was fine to play, hence him being thrown into OT with desperation.

I have been on the fence with DeMar, but man that last game was ugly.

Ok, he hurt his thumb...so why are you still chucking 20 footers?? Impact the game in other ways.

I'm not saying he's a bum and I do wonder what he would look in a better offense. But at some point you are what you are, and right now he's looking like a one dimensional player that isn't particularly good at that one dimension.

Also, if we had a need for a ball handling guard it might make more sense but that's the last thing we need.

I'd say if Puke wants Russell and Randle to do the majority of the playmaking, then it wouldn't make sense to go after DeRozan. Batum would be the better play, but he sounds like he wants to stay in Charlotte.

DD is getting worse by the game, prototypical regular season player who gets exposed in the playoffs when defenses target him

Watch Mitch offer the max at 12:01 ET on July 1

Derozan is getting the max no doubt. 20+ teams have max slots this off season and you have to spend.

Who do you guys want if you don't want DD here. If you're going to slander DD which is warranted you have to slander Bazemore for his awful playoff performances as well. Baze will get a lofty contract as well.

Whiteside is a huge question mark and he should get slandered for his playoff performance as well, especially this series. The guy's effort has been questionable, never wants to really leave the paint, and gets abused on the pick and roll. Oh and even though the game isn't played like this anymore one on one against other bigs he seems to get lost.

This off season is filled with flawed players. Who do you spend money on then?

I think between Russell, Clarkson and Huertas the Lakers would be covered at PG. But I like E'Twaun Moore from the Bulls.

I dont want to spend on any of them.

But like you said, you have to spend.
So we're saying out of such flawed options, wed prefer not to spend on Derozan.

I understand you have to pick your poison, but we're just giving our opinion on what we prefer.
